1267 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ أخبرني أبو بكر الجراحي ثنا يحيى بن ساسويه ثنا عبد الكريم السكري ثنا وهب بن زمعة قال : قال ابن أبي رزمة قيل لعبد الله : أن رجلا قال : لو تعبد الناس لأتاهم الله بالرزق فقال عبد الله : لا يعرف هذا إن الله ابتلى الناس بالمعاش فقال : { و آخرون يضربون في الأرض يبتغون من فضل الله } و قد كان على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم قوم لهم أموال و أبو أيوب له حائط كذا و فلان و فلان و آخرون ليس لهم كثير شيء من المهاجرين و الأنصار فلم يضيق عليهم النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم و لم يأمرهم أن يمسكوا قوت ليلة ويتصدقوا بالبقية و لكن يأمرهم بالتقدمة و موضع الفضل و يخبرهم به

1271 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الرحمن السلمي قال : سمعت عبد الله بن علي يقول : سمعت أحمد بن عطاء يقول قال خالي أبو علي محمد بن أحمد سمعت الجنيد يقول : ليس التوكل الكسب و لا ترك الكسب التوكل شي في القلوب و قال غيره عن الجنيد : إنما هو سكون القلب إلى موعود الله عز و جل قال البيهقي رحمه الله : و على هذا ينبغي أن لا يكون تجريد هذا السكون عن الكسب شرطا في صحة التوكل بل يكتسب بظاهر العلم معتمدا بقلبه على الله على كسبه و إنما يكون إعتماده في كفاية أمره على الله عز و جل
