    حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَی أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَی هُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ شُبَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ إِنْ کُنَّا لَنَتَکَلَّمُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ عَلَی عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُکَلِّمُ أَحَدُنَا صَاحِبَهُ بِحَاجَتِهِ حَتَّی نَزَلَتْ حَافِظُوا عَلَی الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَی وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ فَأُمِرْنَا بِالسُّکُوتِ

    ابراہیم بن موسی، عیسیٰ اسماعیل، حارث بن شبیل، ابن عمرو شیبانی سے روایت کرتے ہیں انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا کہ ہم نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں نماز میں گفتگو کرتے تھے اور ہم میں سے ایک شخص دوسرے سے اپنی حاجتیں بیان کرتا تھا، یہاں تک کہ یہ آیت اتری کہ اپنی نمازوں کی حفاظت کرو تو ہم لوگوں کو نماز میں خاموش رہنے کا حکم دیا گیا۔
