1000 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ ثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق أنا يوسف بن يعقوب ثنا أبو الربيع ثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر قال : أخبرني العلاء عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم قال : لو يعلم المؤمن ما عند الله من العقوبة ما طمع بجنته أحد و لو يعلم الكافر ما عند الله من الرحمة ما قنط من جنته أحد أخرجه مسلم في الصحيح عن جماعة عن إسماعيل و أخرجه البخاري من حديث المقبري عن أبي هريرة

1002 - أخبرنا علي بن أحمد بن عبدان أنا أحمد بن عبيد الصفار ثنا محمد بن إسحاق البغوي ثنا يحيى بن عبد الحميد ثنا جعفر بن سليمان عن ثابت عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال : دخل رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم على رجل يعوده فوجده في الموت فقال : كيف تجدك ؟ قال : أجدني أخاف و أرجو قال : لا يجتمعان في قلب مؤمن إلا أعطاه الله الذي يرجو منه و آمنه من الذي يخاف كذا قاله جعفر بن سليمان الضبعي 1002 - مكرر ـ و رواه أبو ربيعة عن حماد بن سلمة عن ثابت عن عبيد بن عمير قال : دخل النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم على رجل من أصحابه و هو مريض فقال : كيف تجدك ؟ قال : أجدني راغبا راهبا قال : و الذي نفسي بيده لا يجتمعان لأحد عند هذا الموضع إلا أعطاه ما رجا و آمنه مما يخاف

1004 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ و محمد بن موسى بن الفضل قالا : ثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب ثنا إبراهيم بن منقذ حدثني إدريس بن يحيى عن أبي إسحاق الرباحي عن ابن أبي مالك قال : دخل واثلة بن الأسقع على مريض يعوده فقال له : كيف تجدك ؟ قال المريض : لقد خفت الله خوفا خشيت أن لا يقوم لي بعد نظام و رجوت الله رجاء فرجائي فوق ذلك فقال واثلة : الله أكبر سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول : أقسم الخوف و الرجاء أن لا يجتمعا في أحد في الدنيا فيرح ريح النار و لا يفترقا في أحد في الدنيا فيرح ريح الجنة

1006 - أخبرنا أبو الحسين بن بشران أنا الحسين بن صفوان ثنا عبد الله بن محمد بن أبي الدنيا أنا أبو خثيمة ثنا شبابة بن سوار عن هشام بن الغاز حدثني حيان أبو النضر قال : قال لي واثلة بن الأسقع : قدني إليه يزيد بن الأسود فإني قد بلغني أن ألما نزل به قال : فقدته فدخل عليه و هو ثقيل و قد وجه يعني نحو القبلة و قد ذهب عقله قال : نادوه فنادوه فقلت : إن هذا واثلة بن الأسقع أخوك قال : فأبقى الله من عقله أن سمع فجعلتها في كفه و إنما أراد أن يضع يده في يد واثلة ذلك لموضع يد واثلة من يد رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم و جعل يضعها مرة على صدره و مرة على وجهه و مرة على فيه فقال واثلة : ألا تخبرني عن شيء أسألك عنه كيف ظنك بالله ؟ قال : أعجزتني ذنوب لي أشفيت على هلكة و لكن أرجو رحمه الله فكبر واثلة و كبر أهل البيت بتكبيره و قال : الله أكبر سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم يقول : يقول الله عز و جل : أنا عند ظن عبدي بي فليظن بي ما شاء

1010 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ أنا الحسن بن محمد الأسفراييني ثنا سعيد بن عثمان قال : سمعت السري بن المغلس يقول : الخوف أفضل من الرجاء ما كان الرجل صحيحا فإذا نزل به الموت فالرجاء أفضل من الخوف فقال له رجل كيف يا أبا الحسن ؟ قال : لأنه إذا كان في صحته محسنا عظم رجاءه عند الموت و حسن ؟ ظنه بربه و إذا كان في صحته مسيئا ساء ظنه عند الموت و لم يعظم رجاءه قال البيهقي رضي الله عنه : و إنما أراد به خوفا يمنعه من معصية الله عز و جل و يحمله على طاعته حتى إذا حضره الموت عظم رجاءه في رحمة ربه و كثر طمعه في إحسان الله ثقة منه بوعد الله عز و جل

1011 - أخبرنا أبو محمد جناح بن نذير التاجر بالكوفة ثنا أبو جعفر بن دحيم ثنا أحمد بن حازم أنا يعلى بن عبيد ثنا الأعمش عن أبي سفيان عن جابر قال : سمعت رسول الله - يقول : ـ قبل أن يموت بثلاث ـ : لا يموتن أحدكم إلا و هو يحسن الظن بالله عز و جل أخرجه مسلم في الصحيح من حديث الأعمش قال البيهقي رحمه الله : و أفضل الرجاء ما تولد من مجاهدة النفس و مجانبة الهوى قال : الله عز و جل : { إن الذين آمنوا والذين هاجروا وجاهدوا في سبيل الله أولئك يرجون رحمة الله والله غفور رحيم }
