994 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ ثنا أحمد بن عبيد الصفار ثنا معاذ بن المثنى ثنا القعنبي ثنا سليمان بن بلال عن جعفر بن محمد عن عطاء بن أبي رباح أنه سمع عائشة زوج النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم تقول : كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم إذا كان يوم ذا ريح و غيم عرف ذلك في وجه رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فأقبل و أدبر فإذا مطرت سري عنه و ذهب عنه ذلك قالت : فسألته فقال : إني خشيت أن يكون عذابا سلط على أمتي و يقول : إذا رأى المطر رحمه الله ـ و في رواية موسى رحمه فقط و قال : عرف ذلك في وجهه رواه مسلم في الصحيح عن عبد الله بن مسلمة القعنبي و أخرجه البخاري من حديث ابن جريج عن عطاء

999 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ ثنا علي بن حمشاد قال : سمعت أحمد بن سلمة يقول سمعت الحسين بن منصور يقول كثيرا ما كنت أسمع علي بن عثام يقول : اللهم لا تبل أخبارنا قال البيهقي رحمه الله : و هذا كقوله تعالى : { و نبلو أخباركم } و ذلك فيما يبتليهم به في الجهاد و غيره لينظر كيف صبرهم فخاف علي بن عثام أن لا يقوم بصبره فقال : اللهم لا تبل أخبارنا آخر كتاب الخوف انتهى الجزء الأول و يليه إن شاء الله الجزء الثاني و أوله الثاني عشر من شعب الإيمان و هو باب في الرجاء من الله تعالى
