1310 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ ثنا شيخ المتصوفة في عصره أبو محمد جعفر بن محمد بن نصير ثنا أبو محمد الجريري قال : سمعت سهل بن عبد الله التستري يقول : لما بعث الله النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم كان في الدنيا كان في الدنيا سبعة أصناف من الناس : الملوك و المزارعون و أصحاب المواشي و التجار و الصناع و الأجراء و الضعفاء الفقراء لم يؤمر أحد منهم أن ينتقل مما هو فيه و لكن أمرهم بالعلم و اليقين و التوكل في جميع ما كانوا فيه قال سهل : و ينبغي للعاقل أن يقول : ما ينبغي لي بعد علمي بأني أعبدك أن أرجو أو أومل غيرك و لا أتوهم عليك إذ خلقتني و صيرتني عبدا لك أن تكلني إلى نفسي أو تولي أمري غيرك
