449 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ أنا الحسن بن محمد بن إسحاق ثنا أبو عثمان الحناط قال : سمعت السري يقول سمعت فضيلا يقول : عن ابنة له توجعت كفها فعادها فقال لها : يا بنية كيف كفك هذه ؟ فقالت له : يا أبت إن قد بسط لي ثوابها ما لا أؤدي شكره عليها أبدا فتعجبت من حسن يقينها قال الفضيل فأنا عندها قاعد إذ أتاني ابن لي له ثلاث سنين فقبلته و ضممته إلى صدري فقالت لي : يا أبت سألتك بالله أتحبه ؟ فقلت : إي و الله يا بنية أني لأحبه فقالت لي : سوأة لك من الله يا أبت إني ظننت أنك لا تحب مع الله غير الله فقلت لها : أي بنية أو لا تحبون الأولاد ؟ فقالت : المحبة للخالق و الرحمة للأولاد قال : فلطم الفضيل رأس نفسه و قال : يا رب هذه ابنتي هجنتني في حبها و حب أخيها و عزتك لا أحببت معك أحدا حتى ألقاك

453 - أخبرنا أبو الحسين بن بشران أنا أبو عمرو بن السماك ثنا أبو عمرو بن السماك ثنا محمد بن علي بن بحر ثنا محمد بن إبراهيم البرجلاني عن أبيه يقول سمعت بشرا يقول : كان إبراهيم بن أدهم يؤدب نفسه حتى يكون ترك الطيبات ألذ من أكلها و قال بشر : أوحى الله عز و جل إلى داود يا داود خلقت الشهوات و اللذات لضعفة عبادي فأما الأبطال فمالهم و للشهوات و اللذات ؟ يا داود فلا تعقلن قلبك منها بشيء فأدنى ما أعاقبك به أن أنسخ حلاوة حبي من قلبك

454 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الحافظ أنا الحسن بن محمد بن إسحاق ثنا أبو عثمان الحناط ثنا أحمد بن أبي الحواري قال : سمعت أخي يقول : تعبد رجل من بني إسرائيل في غيضة في جزيرة في البحر أربعمائة سنة فطال شعره حتى كان إذا مر في الغيضة تعلق بأغصانها بعض شعره فبينا هو ذات يوم يدور إذ مر بشجرة فيها وكر طير فنقل موضع مصلاه إلى قريب منها قال : فنودي أنست بغير ؟ و عزتي لأحطنك مما كنت فيه درجتين

455 - أخبرنا أبو عبد الرحمن السلمي قال : سمعت أبا منصور بن عبد الله الأصبهاني يقول : سئل الشبلي ما علامة المعرفة ؟ قال : نسيان كل شيء معروقة فقال : ما علامة صحة المحبة ؟ قال : العمى عن كل شيء سوى محبوبه قال : و سمعت الشبلي يقول في قوله : { وما كنا عن الخلق غافلين } فقال : و ما كنا عن من قرب منا غافلين و لا عن من أقبل علينا شاغلين
