حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنْ غَائِطٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا مَسَّ مَائً

It was narrated that' Aishah said: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h come out of the toilet without first (cleansing himself) with water." (Da'if)

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ أَبِي حَکِيمٍ حَدَّثَنِي طَلْحَةُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ وَجَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ نَزَلَتْ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَثْنَی عَلَيْکُمْ فِي الطُّهُورِ فَمَا طُهُورُکُمْ قَالُوا نَتَوَضَّأُ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَنَغْتَسِلُ مِنْ الْجَنَابَةِ وَنَسْتَنْجِي بِالْمَائِ قَالَ فَهُوَ ذَاکَ فَعَلَيْکُمُوهُ

Abu Sufyan said: "Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari , Jabir bin 'Abdullah, and Anas bin Malik told me that when this Verse: "In it (the Masjid) are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure." was revealed, the Messenger of Allah said: '0 Ansar! Allah has praised you for your cleanliness. What is the nature of your cleanliness?' They said: 'We perform ablution for prayer and we take bath to cleanse ourselves of impurity due to sexual activity, and we clean ourselves with water (after urinating). He said: 'This is what it is. So adhere to it.'''

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ شَرِيکٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الْعَمِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَغْسِلُ مَقْعَدَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَعَلْنَاهُ فَوَجَدْنَاهُ دَوَائً وَطُهُورًا قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيکٌ نَحْوَهُ

. It was narrated from' Aishah that the Prophet used to wash his private parts three times. Ibn 'Umar said, "We did that and we found it to be a healing and a means of purification.”’

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَتْ فِي أَهْلِ قُبَائَ فِيهِ رِجَالٌ يُحِبُّونَ أَنْ يَتَطَهَّرُوا وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُطَّهِّرِينَ قَالَ کَانُوا يَسْتَنْجُونَ بِالْمَائِ فَنَزَلَتْ فِيهِمْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The (following) was revealed about the people of Quba': 'In it (the Masjid) are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure."' He said: 'They used to clean themselves with water (after urinating), and this Verse was revealed concerning them.'"
