حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ کُنْتُ مُسْتَخْلِفًا أَحَدًا عَنْ غَيْرِ مَشُورَةٍ لَاسْتَخْلَفْتُ ابْنَ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ

It was narrated that ‘Ali said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘If I were to appoint anyone as my successor without consulting anyone, I would have appointed Abdullah Ibn Masud.”

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ بَشَّرَاهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ غَضًّا کَمَا أُنْزِلَ فَلْيَقْرَأْهُ عَلَی قِرَائَةِ ابْنِ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ

It was narrated from ‘Abdullâh bin Mas’ud that Abu Bakr and ‘Umar gave him the glad tidings that the Messenger of Allah had said: “Whoever would like to recite the Qur’an as fresh as when it was revealed, let him recite it like lbn’Umm ’Abd.” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْنُکَ عَلَيَّ أَنْ تَرْفَعَ الْحِجَابَ وَأَنْ تَسْمَعَ سِوَادِي حَتَّی أَنْهَاکَ

It was narrated that ‘Abdullâh said: “The Messenger of Allah said to me: ‘The sign that you have been permitted to come in is that you raise the curtain and that you hear me speaking quietly, until I forbid you.’ (i.e. unless I forbid you).” (Sahih)
