حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا وَأَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ دَخَلَ سُلَيْکٌ الْغَطَفَانِيُّ الْمَسْجِدَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ أَصَلَّيْتَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَصَلِّ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَأَمَّا عَمْرٌو فَلَمْ يَذْکُرْ سُلَيْکًا

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "Sulaik Ghatafani entered the Masjid when the Prophet P.B.U.H was delivering the sermon. He said: 'Have you prayed?' He said, 'No.' He said: 'Then perform two Rak'an:" (Sahih) As for' Arm (one of the narrator's of the Hadith), he did not mention Sulaik.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ جَائَ رَجُلٌ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ أَصَلَّيْتَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَصَلِّ رَکْعَتَيْنِ

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: “A man entered the Masjid when the Prophet P.B.U.H was delivering the sermon. He said: ‘Have you prayed?’ He said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Then pray two Rak’ah.” (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَا جَائَ سُلَيْکٌ الْغَطَفَانِيُّ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَصَلَّيْتَ رَکْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَجِيئَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَصَلِّ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَتَجَوَّزْ فِيهِمَا

It was narrated that Iabir said: "Sulaik Al-Ohatafani came while the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H was delivering the sermon. The Prophet P.B.U.H said to him: 'Did you perform two Rak' ah before you came?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then perform two Rak'ah, but make them brief.''' (Da'if)
