حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِزَکَاةِ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ عِدْلَهُ مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ حِنْطَةٍ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H enjoined Zakatul-Fitr, one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley. Abdullah said: The people made two Mudd (equal to half of a Sa') of wheat as its equivalent. (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِکُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ عَلَی کُلِّ حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ ذَکَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَی مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'U mar sa id: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one Sit of barley or one Sil' of dates for every Muslim, free or slave, male or female." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ذَکْوَانَ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ عَنْ سَيَّارِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّدَفِيِّ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَکَاةَ الْفِطْرِ طُهْرَةً لِلصَّائِمِ مِنْ اللَّغْوِ وَالرَّفَثِ وَطُعْمَةً لِلْمَسَاکِينِ فَمَنْ أَدَّاهَا قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فَهِيَ زَکَاةٌ مَقْبُولَةٌ وَمَنْ أَدَّاهَا بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ فَهِيَ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ الصَّدَقَاتِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H enjoined Zakatul·Fitr as a purification for the fasting person from idle talk and obscenities, and to feed the poor. Whoever pays it before the (Eid) prayer, it is an accepted Zakah, and whoever pays it after the prayer, it is (ordinary) charity." (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ کُهَيْلٍ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُخَيْمِرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُنْزَلَ الزَّکَاةُ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ الزَّکَاةُ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنَا وَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا وَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُهُ

It was narrated that Qais bin Sa'd said: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr upon us before (the command of) Zakat was revealed. When (the command of) Zakat was revealed, he neither ordered us (to pay) nor forbade us (from paying it), so we did it." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْفَرَّائِ عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَرْحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ کُنَّا نُخْرِجُ زَکَاةَ الْفِطْرِ إِذْ کَانَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَاعًا مِنْ طَعَامٍ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ صَاعًا مِنْ أَقِطٍ صَاعًا مِنْ زَبِيبٍ فَلَمْ نَزَلْ کَذَلِکَ حَتَّی قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَکَانَ فِيمَا کَلَّمَ بِهِ النَّاسَ أَنْ قَالَ لَا أُرَی مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ سَمْرَائِ الشَّامِ إِلَّا تَعْدِلُ صَاعًا مِنْ هَذَا فَأَخَذَ النَّاسُ بِذَلِکَ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ لَا أَزَالُ أُخْرِجُهُ کَمَا کُنْتُ أُخْرِجُهُ عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبَدًا مَا عِشْتُ

It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri said: "We used to pay Zakatul-Fitr when the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H was among us, one Sit of food, one Sa' of dates, one sa' of barley, one Sa' of sun-baked cottage cheese, one Sa' of raisins. We continued to do that until Mu'awiyah came to us in AI-Madinah. One of the things he said to the people was: 'I think that two Mudd wheat from Sham is equivalent to one sa' of this (i.e., dates).' So the people followed that." Abu Sa'eed said: "I will continue to pay it as I used to pay it at the time of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H, for as long as Llive." (sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ الْمُؤَذِّنِ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ مُؤَذِّنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةِ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ سُلْتٍ

It was narrated from 'Ammar bin Sa'eed. the Mu'adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one SiI' of dates, one Sa' of barley, or one Sa' of Suit (a kind of barley without skin on it, resembling wheat). (sahih)
