حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيَّانِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَکْحُولٍ عَنْ کَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَا فَاطِمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنِي بِعَمَلٍ أَسْتَقِيمُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَعْمَلُهُ قَالَ عَلَيْکَ بِالسُّجُودِ فَإِنَّکَ لَا تَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَکَ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ بِهَا عَنْکَ خَطِيئَةً

It was narrated from Kathir bin Murrah that Abu Fatimah told him: " said: '0 Messenger of Allah! Tell me of a deed that I can adhere to and act upon.' He said: "You should prostrate, for you will not prostrate to Allah but He will raise you in status one degree thereby and erase from you one sin." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُعَيْطِيُّ حَدَّثَهُ مَعْدَانُ بْنُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ الْيَعْمُرِيُّ قَالَ لَقِيتُ ثَوْبَانَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ حَدِّثْنِي حَدِيثًا عَسَی اللَّهُ أَنْ يَنْفَعَنِي بِهِ قَالَ فَسَکَتَ ثُمَّ عُدْتُ فَقُلْتُ مِثْلَهَا فَسَکَتَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَقَالَ لِي عَلَيْکَ بِالسُّجُودِ لِلَّهِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً قَالَ مَعْدَانُ ثُمَّ لَقِيتُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَائِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِکَ

Ma'dan bin Abu Talhah AI-Ya'muri said: "I met Thawban and said to him: 'Tell me a Hadith that Allah may benefit me thereby.' But he remained silent.Then I said the same and he remained silent. That happened three times, Then he said to me: 'You should prostrate to Allah for I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will raise him one degree in status thereby and will erase one of his sins." Ma'dan said: "Then I met Abu' Darda' and asked him the same question, and he gave a similar answer." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُرِّيِّ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ عَنْ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا کَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَمَحَا عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةً وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً فَاسْتَکْثِرُوا مِنْ السُّجُودِ

It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Samit that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: "No one prostrates to Allah but Allah will record one Hasanan (good reward) for him, and will erase thereby one bad deed and raise him in status one degree. So prostrate a great deal." (Sahih)
