حدثنا عبيد الله بن سعد ، ثنا عمي ، ثنا أبي ، عن ابن إسحاق ، عن يحيى بن عباد بن عبد الله بن الزبير ، عن عباد ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت : هب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ذات ليلة وتهجد عباد من دار بني عبد الأشهل إلى مسجد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : « يا عائشة ، أصوت عباد بن بشر وهو يقرأ ؟ قلت : نعم ، يا رسول الله ، قال : » اللهم ارحم عبادا «

حدثنا محمود بن غيلان ، ثنا أبو أسامة ، عن يزيد ، عن أبي بردة ، عن أبي موسى ، قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : « إني لأعرف أصوات رفقة (1) الأشعريين بالقرآن حين يدخلون بالليل ، وأعرف منازلهم من أصواتهم بالقرآن بالليل ، وإن كنت لم أر منازلهم حين نزلوا بالنهار ومنهم حكيم »

حدثنا إسحاق ، أخبرنا النضر بن شميل ، ثنا إسرائيل ، ثنا أبو إسحاق ، عن زيد بن يثيع ، قال : كان أبو بكر رضي الله عنه إذا قرأ خافت (1) صوته ، وكان عمر رضي الله عنه إذا قرأ رفع صوته فذكر ذلك للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فقال لأبي بكر رضي الله عنه : « ما أردت ؟ » ، قال : إني أسمع من أناجي ، قال : « صدقت » وقال لعمر رضي الله عنه : « ما أردت ؟ » ، قال : أطرد شيطانا ، وأوقظ الوسنان (2) ، قال : « صدقت » وسئل ابن عباس رضي الله عنه عن جهر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالقراءة بالليل فقال : « كان يقرأ في حجرته قراءة لو أراد حافظ أن يحفظها فعل »

حدثنا أبو جعفر الدارمي ، ثنا وهب بن جرير ، ثنا أبي ، سمعت النعمان بن راشد ، عن الزهري ، عن أبي سلمة ، عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، أن عبيد الله بن حذافة السهمي صلى فجهر بصلاته ، فقال له النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : « يا ابن حذافة لا تسمعني وسمع الله » وكان ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه « إذا هدأت العيون سمع له دوي كدوي النحل حتى يصبح » وعن أبي الأحوص رحمه الله : « إن كان الرجل ليطرق الفسطاط ليلا فيسمع لهم دويا كدوي النحل ، فما بال هؤلاء يأمنون ما كان أولئك يخافون » وعن أبي بكر بن محمد : أتتنا عمرة فباتت عندنا فقمت من الليل أصلي فجعلت أخافت بقراءتي ، فقالت : يا ابن أختي لم لا تجهر بالقرآن ، فوالله ما كان يوقظنا بالليل إلا قراءة معاذ القارئ ، أو قراءة أفلح مولى أبي أيوب رضي الله عنه « وفي رواية : وتميم الداري رضي الله عنه . وقال عن أبيه محمد بن أبي بكر أنه كان يرفع صوته بالقراءة بالليل »
