و حَدَّثَنَاه مُؤَمَّلٌ أَيْضًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَيْضًا

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The likeness of this ummah - or he said: my ummah - and that of the Jews and Christians is the Likeness of a man who said: 'Who will work for me from morning until midday for one qiraat?' The jews said: 'We will,’ and they did that. Then he said: 'Who will work for me from midday until the time of Asr prayer for one qiraat?' The Christians said: 'We will,’ and they did that. And you Muslims are working from the time of Asr prayer until nightfall for two qiraat s. The jews and Christians got angry and said 'We did more work and we get less reward! He said: 'Have I wronged you at all with regard to your reward? They said: 'No-' He said: That is My bounty; I bestow it upon whomever I will."

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا وَقَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ أَسْهَمَ لِلرَّجُلِ وَلِفَرَسِهِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَسْهُمٍ سَهْمًا لَهُ وَسَهْمَيْنِ لِفَرَسِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (RA) that on the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) allocated two shares to the horse and one share to the man. Abu Mu'aawiyah said: He gave three shares to the man and his horse: a share for him and two shares for his horse.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا جَاءَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَصُومَ كُلَّ يَوْمِ أَرْبِعَاءَ فَأَتَى ذَلِكَ عَلَى يَوْمِ أَضْحًى أَوْ فِطْرٍ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَمَرَ اللَّهُ بِوَفَاءِ النَّذْرِ وَنَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِ

It was narrated that Ziyaad ibn Jubayr said: I saw a man come to Ibn 'Umar and ask him (a question). He said that he had vowed to fast every Wednesday, and that coincided with the day cf (Eld) al-Adha or (Eid) al-Fitr? Ibn 'Umar said: Allah has enjoined fulfilment of vows but the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade us to fast on the Day of Sacrifice.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ وَاحِدٍ

It was n arr ated that Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "If you are three, two should not converse (privately) to the exclusion of one."

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يُتِمَّ عِتْقَهُ بِقِيمَةِ عَدْلٍ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever manumits his share of a slave is responsible for completing his manumission on the basis of fair value."

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ إِلَى جَمْعٍ فَصَلَّى بِنَا الْمَغْرِبَ وَمَضَى ثُمَّ قَالَ الصَّلَاةَ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ كَمَا فَعَلْتُ

It was narrated that Sa'eed ibn Jubayr said: We were with Ibn Umar when he moved on from Arafaat to Muzdalifah, where he led us in praying Maghrib and moved on. Then he said: [Time for] prayer, and prayed two rak'ahs. Then he said: This is what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did in this place; he did as I have done.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُرَشِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ الْقِيرَاطُ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ انْظُرْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ حَتَّى انْطَلَقَ بِهِ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ لَهَا يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْشُدُكِ بِاللَّهِ أَسَمِعْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ فَقَالَتْ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَشْغَلُنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَرْسُ الْوَدِيِّ وَلَا صَفْقٌ بِالْأَسْوَاقِ إِنِّي إِنَّمَا كُنْتُ أَطْلُبُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلِمَةً يُعَلِّمُنِيهَا وَأُكْلَةً يُطْعِمُنِيهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كُنْتَ أَلْزَمَنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَعْلَمَنَا بِحَدِيثِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he passed by Abu Hurayrah when he was narrating that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Whoever attends the funeral and offers the funeral prayer will have one qiraat (of reward), and whoever attends the burial will have two qiraats, and a qiraat is greater than (Mount) Uhud." Ibn Umar said to him: O Abu Hirr, watch what you narrate from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) Abu Hurayrah got up and took him to 'Aa'ishah, and he said to her: O Mother of the Believers, I adjure you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: "Whoever attends the funeral and offers the funeral prayer will have one qiraat (of reward), and whoever attends the burial will have two qiraats”?. She said: By Allah, yes. Abu Hurayrah said: I was not distracted from (staying close to) the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) by planting palm tree saplings or going to the marketplace; I would seek a word (of knowledge) from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and he would teach it to me, and I would seek a bite of food and he would give it to me. Ibn 'Umar said to hint You, O Abu Hurayrah, spent the most time with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and you have the most knowledge of his hadeeth.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ الْمُحْرِمُ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "If the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram) cannot find sandals, let him wear khufoof (leather slippers) and let him cut them so that they come lower than the ankles.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَابْنُ عَوْنٍ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَيْنَ يُحْرِمُ قَالَ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنْ الْجُحْفَةِ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَمُهَلُّ أَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ و قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَقَاسَ النَّاسُ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ بِقَرْنٍ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man asked the Prophet (PBUH) where he should enter ihram from. He said: The miqaat of the people of Madinah is Dhu'l-Hulayfah, the miqaat of the people of Syria is al-Juhfah, the miqaat of the people of Yemen is Yalamlam, and the miqaat of the people of Najd is Qarn." Ibn 'Umar said: By analogy, the people took Dhaat 'Irq as being parallel to Qarn

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَتْ تَلْبِيَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَزَادَ فِيهَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Talbiyah of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was: "Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk, inna al-hamda wa'n-ni'mata laka walmulk, laa shareeka lak (Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am. You have no partner, here I am Verily all praise and blessings are Yours, and all sovereignty; You have no partner). Ibn Umar added to it: " Labbayka, labbayka wa sa'dayka, wa'l-khayru bi yadayka, labbayka wa'l-raghbaa'u ilayka wa'l- and ( Here i am here I am and blessed by You, and all good is in Your hands; here I am, my hope is in You and my striving is for Your sake)"

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ غَدَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ مِنَّا الْمُكَبِّرُ وَمِنَّا الْمُلَبِّي

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: We went with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) in the morning to 'Arafaat, some of us reciting takbeer and some of us reciting the Talbiyah.
