حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ الْمُحْرِمُ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "If the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram) cannot find sandals, let him wear khufoof (leather slippers) and let him cut them so that they come lower than the ankles.
