حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَعَلَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا وَقَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ أَسْهَمَ لِلرَّجُلِ وَلِفَرَسِهِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَسْهُمٍ سَهْمًا لَهُ وَسَهْمَيْنِ لِفَرَسِهِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4448
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (RA) that on the day of Uhud, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) allocated two shares to the horse and one share to the man. Abu Mu'aawiyah said: He gave three shares to the man and his horse: a share for him and two shares for his horse.
