587- أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ التَّفْضِيلِ , قَالَ : أذْهَبْ إِلَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , قَالَ : كُنَّا نُفَاضِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَقُولُ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : وَلاَ نَتَعَدَّى الأَثَرَ وَالاِتِّبَاعِ . فَالاِتِّبَاعُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَمِنْ بَعْدِهِ لأَصْحَابِهِ , فَإِذَا رَضِيَ أَصْحَابُهُ بِذَلِكَ كَانُوا هُمْ يُفَاضِلُونَ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ , وَلاَ يَعِيبُ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ , فَعَلَيْنَا الاِتِّبَاعُ لِمَا مَضَى عَلَيْهِ سَلَفُنَا , وَنَقْتَدِي بِهِمْ قَالَ حَنْبَلٌ : وَسَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ حَرْبٍ وَسَأَلَهُ خَيَّاطُ السُّنَّةِ عَنِ التَّفْضِيلِ , فَقَالَ : قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ أَفْضَلَ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ , ثُمَّ قُبِضَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَكَانَ أَفْضَلَ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُ عُمَرُ , ثُمَّ قُبِضَ عُمَرُ فَكَانَ أَفْضَلَ النَّاسِ بَعْدَهُ عُثْمَانُ . قَالَ : قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ , وَسْكُتُ.

588- أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الأَثْرَمُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زُرَيْعٍ , يَقُولُ : خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ , ثُمَّ عُمَرُ , ثُمَّ عُثْمَانُ , ثُمَّ نَقِفُ . قَالَ : وَسَمِعْتُ مُوسَى بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَقُولُ : هَكَذَا تَعَلَّمْنَا وَنَبَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ لُحُومُنَا , وَأَدْرَكْنَا النَّاسَ عَلَيْهِ : تَقْدِيمُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ , ثُمَّ السُّكُوتُ.

590- أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْكَلاَعِيُّ الْحِمْصِيُّ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ طَالِبٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ , قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَالنَّاسُ مُتَوَافِرُونَ , الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَسُلَيْمَانُ وَغَيْرُهُمَا , فَمَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا يَخْتَلِفُ فِي تَقْدِيمِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ.

591- أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ السِّمْسَارُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُهَنَّا , قَالَ : قَالَ لِي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ : أَيُّ شَيْءٍ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ فِي التَّقْدِمَةِ ؟ قُلْتُ : لاَ أَدْرِي , فَسَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ فَقُلْتُ : أَيُّ شَيْءٍ تَقُولُ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ : أَنَا أَقُولُ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ ثُمَّ عُثْمَانُ.

592- أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ فِي التَّفْضِيلِ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ , وَلاَ نَعِيبُ مَنْ رَبَّعَ بِعَلِيٍّ لِقَرَابَتِهِ , وَصِهْرِهِ , وَإِسْلاَمِهِ الْقَدِيمِ , وَعَدْلِهِ.

593- وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , وَذُكِرَ التَّفْضِيلُ , فَقَالَ لِي : كَلَّمَنِي عَاصِمٌ فِي التَّفْضِيلِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدٍ حَاضِرٌ , فَقُلْتُ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ . وَأُرَاهُ قَالَ : احْتَجَجْتُ بِحَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , فَقَالَ عَاصِمٌ : نَقُولُ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ , وَوَافَقَهُ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ . قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ لأَبِي عُبَيْدٍ : لَسْتُ أَدْفَعُ مَا تَقُولُ يَا أَبَا عُبَيْدٍ . قَالَ : فَفَرِحَ بِهَا.

مَا يَرُدُّ هَذَا شَيْءٌ. ← لَهُ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يَزَلِ النَّاسُ نَعْرِفُهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ ← أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَنَّ الْفَضْلَ

قَائِلٌ مَنْ بَعْدَ عُثْمَانَ قُلْتُ عَلِيٌّ. ← مَنْ حَضَرَ مَجْلِسَ عَاصِمٍ فَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ فَإِنْ ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ

597- وَأَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ , قَالَ : قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ : مَنْ قَالَ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ ؟ قَالَ : أذْهَبْ إِلَيْهِ , وَيُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ أَقُولَ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَأَسْكُتُ , وَإِنْ قَالَ رَجُلٌ : وَعَلِيٌّ , لَمْ أُعَنِّفْهُ , وَلاَ يُعْجِبُنِي هَذَا الْقَوْلُ . قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ , وَنَتْرُكُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لاَ نُفَضِّلُ بَيْنَهُمْ.

رَجُلٌ وَعَلِيٌّ لَمْ أُعَنِّفْهُ وَلاَ يُعْجِبُنِي هَذَا الْقَوْلُ ← أذْهَبْ إِلَيْهِ وَيُعْجِبُنِي أَنْ أَقُولَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَأَسْكُتُ وَإِنْ ← أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ ← قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَنْ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ← الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ،

598- أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى , عَنْ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى , عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ , عَنْ أَبِي الْحَارِثِ , وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ , عَنِ الْفَضْلِ , وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ , عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ , الْمَعْنَى قَرِيبٌ , قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ حَنْبَلٍ , فَقَالَ : أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ , وَلَوْ قَالَ قَائِلٌ : وَعَلِيٌّ , لَمْ أُعَنِّفْهُ.
