حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْمَسْأَلَةُ كُدُوحٌ فِي وَجْهِ صَاحِبِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَنْ بَدَنَ فَلْيَسْتَبْقِ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ وَأَهْوَنُ الْمَسْأَلَةِ مَسْأَلَةُ ذِي الرَّحِمِ تَسْأَلُهُ فِي حَاجَةٍ وَخَيْرُ الْمَسْأَلَةِ الْمَسْأَلَةُ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: "Asking (of people) will turn into scratches on the face on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever wants to, let him keep his face intact. The least bad kind of asking is asking of a relative whom you ask for something you need, and the best kind of giving is giving when one has the means, and you should start with those you are responsible for."
