حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ الَّذِي يُقَالُ عَنْهُ: الْفَقِيرُ، عَنْ طَلْقٍ الْبَكَّاءِ قَالَ: جَاوَرَ أَصْحَابٌ لَنَا، وَكَانَ فِيمَنْ يَخْرُجُ يُعَاتِبُ عُثْمَانَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ أُدَيَّةَ، وَمِرْدَاسُ بْنُ أُدَيَّةَ. قَالَ: فَبَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَكَّةَ قَدْ أَهَمَّنَا أَمْرُ النَّاسِ إِذْ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا عُرْوَةُ فَقُلْنَا: مَا وَرَاءَكَ؟ قَالَ: خَيْرٌ رَضِينَا وَأَرْضَيْنَا، قَالَ: فَمَا تَفَرَّقْنَا حَتَّى قُتِلَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي شِهَابٍ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ وُضُوءٍ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: وَأَصَابَتْنِي جِرَاحَةٌ فَكُنْتُ أَنْزِفُ مِنْهَا الدَّمَ، وَأُفِيقُ مَرَّةً فَأَخَذَ الْوَضُوءُ فَتَوَضَّأَ، وَأَخَذَ الْمُصْحَفَ فَقَرَأَ لِيَتَجَرَّأَ بِهِ مِنَ الْفَسَقَةِ، فَجَاءَ فَتًى كَأَنَّهُ ذِئْبٌ فَاطَّلَعَ إِطِّلَاعَةً ثُمَّ رَجَعَ، فَقُلْنَا: عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ نَهَنَهَهُمْ شَيْءٌ، عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ رَدَّهُمْ شَيْءٌ، فَإِذَا هُمْ مُضْطَرُّونَ إِلَيَّ جَرِّ الْبَابِ هَلْ سَكَنَ بَعْدُ أَمْ لَا؟ قَالَ: فَجَاءُوا فَدَفَعُوا الْبَابَ، وَجَاءَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَسَبَّهُ الْحَسَنُ - حَتَّى جَثَمَ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْ عُثْمَانَ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِلِحْيَتِهِ , وَكَانَ طَوِيلَ اللِّحْيَةِ حَسَنَ اللِّمَّةِ، فَهَزَّهَا حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ أَضْرَاسِهِ، وَقَالَ: مَا أَغْنَى عَنْكَ مُعَاوِيَةُ؟ وَمَا أَغْنَى عَنْكَ ابْنُ أَبِي سَرْحٍ؟ وَمَا أَغْنِي عَنْكَ ابْنُ عَامِرٍ؟ قَالَ: «يَا ابْنَ أَخِي مَهْلًا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ كَانَ أَبُوكَ مَا جَلَسَ هَذَا الْمَجْلِسَ مِنِّي» ، قَالَ: فَغَمَزَ بَعْضَهُمْ فَأَشْعَرُوهُ بِسَهْمٍ وَتَعَاوَرُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَتَلُوهُ. قَالَ: فَمَا أَفْلَتَ مِنْهُمْ

مُجْتَرٍ فَأَتَى مِصْرَ فَأَخَذَ عَامِلُ مِصْرَ فَقَدَّمَهُ لِيَقْتُلَهُ فَقَالُوا: ابْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَأَخُو عَائِشَةَ. فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ لَا أُنَاظِرُ فِيهِ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ فَقَتَلَهُ. قَالَ الْحَسَنُ أَوْ قَتَادَةُ أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَأَدْخَلُوهُ فِي جَوْفِ حِمَارٍ فَأَحْرَقُوهُ

وَاللَّهِ لَا أُنَاظِرُ فِيهِ أَحَدًا بَعْدَ قَتْلِ عُثْمَانَ فَقَتَلَهُ. ← ابْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَأَخُو عَائِشَةَ. ← مُجْتَرٍ فَأَتَى مِصْرَ فَأَخَذَ عَامِلُ مِصْرَ فَقَدَّمَهُ لِيَقْتُلَهُ

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَتَحَ الْبَابَ وَأَخَذَ الْمُصْحَفَ فَوَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ. قَالَ مُعْتَمِرٌ: قَالَ أَبِي: فَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ: أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَخَذَ بِلِحْيَتِهِ. فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: لَقَدْ أَخَذْتَ مِنِّي مَأْخَذًا - أَوْ - قَعَدْتَ مِنِّي مَقْعَدًا , مَا كَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لِيَقْعُدَهُ - أَوْ قَالَ: - لِيَأْخُذَهُ , قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ وَتَرَكَهُ قَالَ أَبِي فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: وَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ. قَالَ: فَخَرَجَ وَتَرَكَهُ. وَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ: الْمَوْتُ الْأَسْوَدُ، فَخَنَقَهُ وَخَنَقَهُ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ شَيْئًا قَطُّ هُوَ أَلْيَنُ مِنْ حَلْقِهِ، وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ خَنَقْتُهُ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ نَفَسَهُ مِثْلَ نَفْسِ الْجَانِّ يَتَرَدَّدُ فِي جَسَدِهِ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ. قَالَ: وَالْمُصْحَفُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَيَهْوِي لَهُ بِالسَّيْفِ فَأَقْصَاهُ بِيَدِهِ فَقَطَعَهَا فَلَا أَدْرِي أَبَانَهَا أَمْ قَطَعَهَا وَلَمْ يُبِنْهَا، فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ إِنَّهَا لَأَوَّلُ كَفٍّ خَطَّتِ الْمُفَصَّلَ. وَقَالَ فِي غَيْرِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ: فَدَخَلَعَلَيْهِ التُّجِيبِيُّ فَأَشْعَرَهُ مِشْقَصًا فَانْتَضَحَ الدَّمُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: {فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّهُ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ} [البقرة: 137] فَإِنَّهَا لَفِي الْمُصْحَفِ مَا حُكَّتْ. قَالَ: وَأَخَذَتْ بِنْتُ الْفُرَافِصَةِ حُلِيَّهَا فِي جُرَيْبٍ فَوَضَعَتْهُ فِي حِجْرِهَا - وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ - فَلَمَّا أُشْعِرَ - أَوْ قَالَ: - قُتِلَ , تَفَاجَّتْ عَلَيْهِ , فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: قَاتَلَهَا اللَّهُ مَا أَعْظَمَ عَجِيزَتَهَا قَالَتْ: فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّ أَعْدَاءَ اللَّهِ لَمْ يُرِيدُوا إِلَّا الدُّنْيَا

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لَمَّا حُصِرَ أَيَّامًا , طَلَبُوا إِلَيْهِ أَنْ يَخْلَعَ نَفْسَهُ فَأَبَى، وَقَالَ: لَا أَخْلَعُ سِرْبَالًا سَرْبَلَنِيهِ اللَّهُ، وَلَا أَخْلَعُ قَمِيصًا كَسَانِيهِ اللَّهُ , فَقَالُوا: إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرْبَلَكَ أُمَّةَ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعًا تُسَلَّطُ عَلَى أَمْوَالِهِمْ وَتَسْتَعْمِلُ إِخْوَتَكَ وَأَقْرِبَتَكَ , عَلَيْكَ التَّوْبَةُ مِنْ هَذَا الْقَوْلِ، لِأَنَّ هَذَا لَيْسَ بِمِيرَاثٍ عَنْ أَبِيكَ، وَلَا عَهْدٍ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. . . . . . الْمَثُوبَةَ مِنْهُمْ، فَجَاءَهُ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ: مَا يُبَالِي عُثْمَانُ أَنْ يَقْعُدُوا عَلَى بَابِهِ. . . . . . أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ: نَعَمْ قَالَ: أَمَا تَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَهَّزَ جَيْشَ الْعُسْرَةِ فَبَقِيَ مِنْ جِهَازِهِمْ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ: «مَنْ تَمَّمَ جِهَازَهُمْ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ» . فَتَمَّمْتُ جِهَازَهُمْ مِنْ مَالِي؟ قَالَ: بَلَى، وَلَكِنَّكَ بَدَّلْتَ. قَالَ [ص:1287]: أَمَا تَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنِ اشْتَرَى مَوْضِعَ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ فَأَدْخَلَهُ الْمَسْجِدَ بُنِيَ لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَاشْتَرَيْتُهُ مِنْ مَالِي قَالَ: بَلَى، وَلَكِنَّكَ بَدَّلْتَ، فَكَانَ لَا يَعْتَدُّ بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا قَالَ طَلْحَةُ: بَلَى وَلَكِنَّكَ بَدَّلْتَ. قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ نَيَّارٍ عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَى طَلْحَةَ , وَعُثْمَانُ مَحْصُورٌ , وَطَلْحَةُ مُسْتَلْقٍ عَلَى سَرِيرٍ فَقَالَ: أَلَا تَخْرُجُ فَتَنْهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ هَذَا الرَّجُلِ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا وَاللَّهِ حَتَّى تُعْطِي بَنُو أُمَيَّةَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهَا. قَالَ: وَكَتَبَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ يَسْتَمِدُّهُمْ، فَضَرَبَ مُعَاوِيَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بَعْثًا عَلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ أَرْبَعَةَ آلَافٍ , قَائِدُهُمْ يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ جَدُّ خَالِدٍ الْقَسْرِيِّ. فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الَّذِينَ حَصَرُوهُ أَنَّهُ قَدِ اسْتَغَاثَ أَهْلَ الشَّامِ، وَقَدْ أَقْبَلَ إِلَيْهِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ خَافُوا أَنْ يَكُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ فَقَالَ: فَعَاجَلُوهُ، فَأَحْرَقُوا الْبَابَ - بَابَ عُثْمَانَ - فَلَمَّا وَقَعَ الْبَابُ أَلْقَوْا عَلَيْهِ التُّرَابَ وَالْحِجَارَةَ، وَكَانَ فِي الدَّارِ مَعَهُ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ مِائَتَيْ رَجُلٍ، فِيهِمُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ , وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ، فَاسْتَعْمَلَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الدَّارِ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَوَلَّى مَالِكَ بْنَ الْأَخْنَسِ الثَّقَفِيَّ عَلَى الْمَيْمَنَةِ، وَمَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ عَلَى الْمَيْسَرَةِ، وَهَمَّ بِالْقِتَالِ. فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْبَابَ قَدْ أُحْرِقَ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ , فَقَالَ: جَزَاكُمُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا، قَدْ وَفَّيْتُمُ الْبَيْعَةَ، وَقَدْ بَدَا لِي أَلَّا أُقَاتِلَ وَلَا يُرَاقَ فِيَّ مِحْجَمَةٌ [ص:1288] مِنْ دَمٍ، فَفُتِحَ لَهُ سُدَّةٌ فِي دَارِهِ فَخَرَجُوا مِنْهَا، وَغَضِبَ مَرْوَانُ فَاخْتَبَأَ فِي بَعْضِ بُيُوتِ الدَّارِ، وَرَجَعَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَفَتَحَ الْمُصْحَفَ فَقَرَأَ، وَدَخَلَتْ جَمَاعَةٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِي صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا مِنْ أَبْنَائِهِمْ. فَلَمَّا وَصَلُوا إِلَيْهِ قَامُوا خَلْفَهُ وَعَلَيْهِمُ السِّلَاحُ فَقَالُوا: بَدَّلْتَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَغَيَّرْتَهُ. فَقَالَ: كِتَابُ اللَّهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ , فَضَرَبَ رَجُلٌ بَأَسْهُمٍ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ فَبَدَرَ مِنْهُ الدَّمُ عَلَى الْمُصْحَفِ وَضَرَبَهُ آخَرُ بِقَائِمَةِ سَيْفِهِ، وَضَرَبَهُ آخَرُ بِرِجْلِهِ. فَلَمَّا كَثُرَ الضَّرْبُ غُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ، وَنِسَاؤُهُ مُخْتَلِطَاتٌ مَعَ الرِّجَالِ، فَصَيَّحَ النِّسَاءُ حِينَ غُشِيَ عَلَيْهِ، وَجِئْنَ بِمَاءٍ فَمَسَحْنَ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ فَأَفَاقَ. فَدَخَلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ قَدْ قُتِلَ. فَلَمَّا رَآهُ قَاعِدًا قَالَ: أَلَا أَرَاكُمْ قِيَامًا حَوْلَ نَعْثَلٍ وَأَخَذَ بِلِحْيَتِهِ فَجَرَّهُ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَى بَابِ الدَّارِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: بَدَّلْتَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَغَيَّرْتَهُ يَا نَعْثَلُ. فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: لَسْتُ بِنَعْثَلٍ وَلَكِنِّي أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، وَمَا كَانَ أَبُوكَ لِيَأْخُذَ بِلِحْيَتِي , فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ: لَا يُقْبَلُ مِنَّا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ نَقُولَ: رَبَّنَا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبِيلَ وَدَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ تَجُوبِيٌّ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ مُخْتَرِطًا السَّيْفَ , فَقَالَ: اخْرُجُوا اخْرُجُوا، فَأَخْرَجَ النَّاسَ فَطَعَنَ فِي بَطْنِهِ فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَتُهُ بِنْتُ الْفُرَافِصَةِ الْكَلْبِيَّةُ تُمْسِكُ السَّيْفَ فَقَطَعَ أَصَابِعَهَا

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ قَالَ: أَرْسَلَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى [ص:1289] مُعَاوِيَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَسْتَمِدُّهُ، فَبَعَثَ مُعَاوِيَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَسَدٍ جَدَّ خَالِدٍ الْقَسْرِيِّ، وَقَالَ لَهُ: إِذَا أَتَيْتَ ذَا خُشُبٍ فَأَقِمْ بِهَا وَلَا تَتَجَاوَزْهَا، وَلَا تَقُلِ: الشَّاهِدُ يَرَى مَا لَا يَرَى الْغَائِبُ قَالَ: أَنَا الشَّاهِدُ وَأَنْتَ الْغَائِبُ. فَأَقَامَ بِذِي خُشُبٍ حَتَّى قُتِلَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ. فَقُلْتُ لِجُوَيْرِيَةَ: لِمَ صَنَعَ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: صَنَعَهُ عَمْدًا لِيُقْتَلَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَيَدْعُو إِلَى نَفْسِهِ
