حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا مِنْ عِنْدِ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

‘Abdullah ibn Dinar narrated; I heard 'Abdullah ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever cannot find any sandals, let him wear khuffayn and cut them down to the ankles."

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ سَلْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ عَشْرُ رَكَعَاتٍ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُدَاوِمُ عَلَيْهِنَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: Ten rak'ahs that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) always did: two rak'ahs before Zuhr and two afterwards, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after 'Isha', and two rak'ahs before Fajr.

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ لِيُطَلِّقْهَا إِنْ شَاءَ

It was n arrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that he divorced his wife when she was menstruating. 'Umar mentioned that to the Prophet and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said "Let him take her back, until she becomes pure, then let him divorce her if he wants to."

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ طَلَّقَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ لِيُطَلِّقْهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ احْتُسِبَ بِهَا قَالَ فَمَهْ

Anas ibn Sireen narrated: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: A son of 'Umar divorced his wife when she was menstruating. 'Umar mentioned that to the Prophet (PBUH) and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Let him take her back, until she becomes pure, then let him divorce her." I (the narrator) said is that counted ( as a divorce)? He said: of course!

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا جَبَلَةُ قَالَ كُنَّا بِالْمَدِينَةِ فِي بَعْثِ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ فَأَصَابَتْنَا سَنَةٌ فَجَعَلَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَرْزُقُنَا التَّمْرَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ يَمُرُّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ لَا تُقَارِنُوا فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْقِرَانِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَسْتَأْمِرَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْكُمْ أَخَاهُ

Jabalah narrated: We were in Madinah with the delegation from Iraq, and were struck by faitiine- Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr provided us with dates. 'Abdullah bn 'Umar passed by us and said: Do not eat two together, for the Messenger of Allah forbade eating tvvo dates together, unless a man asks his brother for permission.

حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ عَفَّانُ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ آخِذًا بِيَدِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ إِذْ عَرَضَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي النَّجْوَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُدْنِي الْمُؤْمِنَ فَيَضَعُ عَلَيْهِ كَنَفَهُ وَيَسْتُرُهُ مِنْ النَّاسِ وَيُقَرِّرُهُ بِذُنُوبِهِ وَيَقُولُ لَهُ أَتَعْرِفُ ذَنْبَ كَذَا أَتَعْرِفُ ذَنْبَ كَذَا أَتَعْرِفُ ذَنْبَ كَذَا حَتَّى إِذَا قَرَّرَهُ بِذُنُوبِهِ وَرَأَى فِي نَفْسِهِ أَنَّهُ قَدْ هَلَكَ قَالَ فَإِنِّي قَدْ سَتَرْتُهَا عَلَيْكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنِّي أَغْفِرُهَا لَكَ الْيَوْمَ ثُمَّ يُعْطَى كِتَابَ حَسَنَاتِهِ وَأَمَّا الْكُفَّارُ وَالْمُنَافِقُونَ فَيَقُولُ الْأَشْهَادُ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ أَلَا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ

It was narrated that Satwaan ibn Muhriz said: i was holding the hand of Ibn 'Umar when a man came to him and said: What did you hear the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say about najwa (private conversation) on the Day of Resurrection? He said: I heard him say: "Allah (PBUH) will bring the believer close to him, and will place His concealment on him and conceal him from the People, then He will make him confess his sins, and He will say to him: Do you admit such and such a sin? Do you admit such and such a sin? Do you admit such and such a sin? until He has made him admi t his sins, and he thinks to himself that he is doomed. Then He will say:I concealed them for you in the world and I forgive you for them today. Then he will be given the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and the hypocrites, 'and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord!" No doubt! the curse of Allah is on the Zalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.)' [Hood 11:18]."

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَفْعَلْ فَإِنِّي أَشْفَعُ لِمَنْ مَاتَ بِهَا

It was narrated from [bn 'Umar that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever is able to die in Madinah, let him do so, for I shall intercede for whoever dies there."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ وَاقِدٍ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَجَعَلَ يُلْقِي إِلَيْهِ الطَّعَامَ فَجَعَلَ يَأْكُلُ أَكْلًا كَثِيرًا فَقَالَ لِنَافِعٍ لَا تُدْخِلَنَّ هَذَا عَلَيَّ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ

It was narrated from Waaqid: I heard Naafi' say: A man came to Ibn 'Umar, who started to give him food, and he started to eat a great deal. He said to Naafi': Do not let this man enter upon me, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say:"The kaafir eats in seven intestines."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah said: "The one who lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.'

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الضَّبِّ فَقَالَ لَسْتُ آكِلَهُ وَلَا مُحَرِّمَهُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was asked about (eating) lizards. He said: "I do not eat it and i do not forbid it."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْحِجْرِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, when he was in al-Hijr (the Rocky Tract): "Do not enter upon these people who have been punished, unless you are weeping. If you are not weeping then do not enter upon them, lest there befall you the like of what befell them."

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ الْجَنَابَةَ تُصِيبُهُ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَ ذَكَرَهُ وَيَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ يَنَامَ

It was narrated from Abdullah ibn 'Umar that 'Umar told the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that he became junub at night, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) instructed him to wash his private part and do wudoo', then go to sleep.
