حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ تَلَقِّي السِّلَعِ حَتَّى يُهْبَطَ بِهَا الْأَسْوَاقُ وَنَهَى عَنْ النَّجْشِ وَقَالَ لَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ وَكَانَ إِذَا عَجَّلَ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ

It was narrated from Ibn "Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) forbade intercepting goods until they had been unloaded in the marketplace, and he forbade artificially inflating prices, and he said: "Do not undersell one another.” And if he was in a hurry whilst travelling, he would put Maghrib and 'Isha' together.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطَعَ نَخْلَ بَنِي النَّضِيرِ وَحَرَّقَ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) cut down the palm trees of Banu'n-Nadeer and burned them.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I prayedtwo rak'ahs with the Prophet (PBUH) in Mina.

حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي الْمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَيُسْنِدُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

al-Muttalib ibn 'Abdullah ibn Hantab narrated that Ibn 'Umar used to do wudoo' Washing each part three times and he attributed that action to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).

حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ سَمِعَ صَوْتَ زَمَّارَةِ رَاعٍ فَوَضَعَ أُصْبُعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ وَعَدَلَ رَاحِلَتَهُ عَنْ الطَّرِيقِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا نَافِعُ أَتَسْمَعُ فَأَقُولُ نَعَمْ فَيَمْضِي حَتَّى قُلْتُ لَا فَوَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَعَادَ رَاحِلَتَهُ إِلَى الطَّرِيقِ وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَمِعَ صَوْتَ زَمَّارَةِ رَاعٍ فَصَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا

It was narrated from Naafi', the freed slave of Ibn 'Umar, that Ibn Umar heard the sound of a shepherd’s flute. He put his fingers in his ears and directed his mount away from the road, saying: O Naafi', do you hear that? He said: Yes. Then he moved on until I said: No (I do not hear it any more), so he took his fingers out of his ears and brought his mount back to the road. And he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he heard the sound of a shepherd's flute, do something like this.

حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ تَخْرُجُ نَارٌ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ أَوْ بِحَضْرَمَوْتَ فَتَسُوقُ النَّاسَ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say: "A fire will emerge from Hadramawt, or in Hadramawt, and it will drive the people.” We said: O Messenger of Allah, what do you instruct us to do? He said: "Go to Syria."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا شَرِبَ فَلْيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ

Abu Bakr ibn 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Umar narrated from his grandfather, from the Prophet (PBUH) who said: "When one of you Eats, let him eat with his right hand and when he drinks, let him drink with his right hand, for the shaytaan eats with his left hand and drinks with his left hand,”

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنْ الثِّيَابِ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً مَا يَتْرُكُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنْ الثِّيَابِ فَقَالَ لَا يَلْبَسُ الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا الْبُرْنُسَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ وَلَا ثَوْبًا مَسَّهُ الْوَرْسُ وَلَا الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلَّا لِمَنْ لَا يَجِدُ نَعْلَيْنِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَلْيَقْطَعْهُمَا حَتَّى يَكُونَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ

It was narrated from Saalim from his father who said: a man asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH): What clothes can the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram) wear? On one occasion Sufyaan said: What clothes should the muhrim avoid? He said: "He should not wear a chemise, a burnoose, pants, a head cover or any garment that has been dyed with wars or saffron." And he should not wear khufoof, except for one who cannot find sandals. Whoever cannot find sandals may wear khufoof, but lie should cut them so that they come lower than the ankle.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجِنَازَةِ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, that he saw the Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr and 'Umar walking in front of the bier.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَبَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَأَكْثَرُ مَا كَانَ يَقُولُ وَبَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ وَلَا يَرْفَعُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father (who said): i saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he began the prayer; he raised his hands until they were level with his shoulders, (and lie raised his hands) when he wanted to bow, and after lifting his head from bowing- And I did not see him raise (his hands) between the twoprostrations.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ كَذَا حَفِظْنَا الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَأَخْبَرَهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, (that) the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade selling fresh dates (on the tree) for dried dates. Sufyaan said: This is how we memorized it, fresh dates (on the tree) for dried dates. Zayd ibn Thaabit told him that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) granted a concession allowing 'araaya[1].

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, (who said:) I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) put Maghrib and Isha together, if he was in a hurry when travelling.
