حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي عَاشُورَاءَ صَامَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَرَ بِصَوْمِهِ فَلَمَّا فُرِضَ رَمَضَانُ تُرِكَ فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَا يَصُومُهُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلَى صَوْمِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he said concerning 'Ashoora': The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) fasted it and instructed (people) to fast it, then when Ramadan was made obligatory it was abandoned. 'Abdullah used not to fast it unless it coincided with a day when he usually fasted.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ حَتَّى يَتَفَرَّقَا أَوْ يَكُونَ بَيْعَ خِيَارٍ قَالَ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ نَافِعٌ أَوْ يَقُولَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ اخْتَرْ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The two parties to a transaction have the option (of cancelling it) until they separate, unless it is bay khiyaar (a transaction in which the purchaser has the option of returning the goods within an a greed period),” And Naafi' may have said:” or one of them says to the other: 'Decide."

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَزُورُهُ رَاكِبًا وَمَاشِيًا يَعْنِي مَسْجِدَ قُبَاءَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he used to narrate that the Prophet (PBUH) used to visit it riding ard walking - i.e., Masjid Quba'.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَةَ رَمَضَانَ عَلَى الذَّكَرِ وَالْأُنْثَى وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ صَاعَ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعَ شَعِيرٍ قَالَ فَعَدَلَ النَّاسُ بِهِ بَعْدُ نِصْفَ صَاعِ بُرٍّ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ وَقَالَ نَافِعٌ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُعْطِي التَّمْرَ إِلَّا عَامًا وَاحِدًا أَعْوَزَ التَّمْرُ فَأَعْطَى الشَّعِيرَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) enjoined the sadaqah of Ramadaan (zakaat al-fitr) on male and female, free and slave, a saa' of dates or a saa' of barley. Then after that the people changed it to half a saa' of wheat. Ayyoob said: And Naafi' said: lbn 'Umar used to give dates, except one year when dates were scarce, so he gave barley.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَبَّقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ فَأَرْسَلَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْهَا مِنْ الْحَفْيَاءِ أَوْ الحَيْفَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَرْسَلَ مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَكُنْتُ فَارِسًا يَوْمَئِذٍ فَسَبَقْتُ النَّاسَ طَفَّفَ بِيَ الْفَرَسُ مَسْجِدَ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) held a race for horses. He sent those that had been specially prepared[1] for that, from al-Hayfa' to Thaniyyat al-Wadaa', and he sent those that had not been specially prepared from al-Thaniyyah to the mosque of Banu Zurayq. 'Abdullah said: I was a horsemen on that day ,and I came frst in the race , and the horse jumped with me into the mosque of Banu zurayq.[1]

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ فَلَا تَصُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ وَلَا تُفْطِرُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْهُ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِذَا مَضَى مِنْ شَعْبَانَ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ يَنْظُرُ فَإِنْ رُئِيَ فَذَاكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُرَ وَلَمْ يَحُلْ دُونَ مَنْظَرِهِ سَحَابٌ وَلَا قَتَرٌ أَصْبَحَ مُفْطِرًا وَإِنْ حَالَ دُونَ مَنْظَرِهِ سَحَابٌ أَوْ قَتَرٌ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: " Verify the month Is twenty-nine days. Do not fast until you see it and do not break the fast until you see it, and if it is cloudy then work it out" Naafi' said: When twenty-nine days of Sha'baan had passed, 'Abdullah would send someone out to look. If (the new moon) was seen, that was that, and if it was not seen, and there was nothing to prevent it being seen such as clouds or rain, he would not fast the next day. If there was something to prevent it being seen, such as clouds or rain, he would fast the next day.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَأُنْبِئْتُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ فَكَيْفَ بِنَا قَالَ شِبْرًا قَالَتْ إِذَنْ تَبْدُوَ أَقْدَامُنَا قَالَ ذِرَاعًا لَا تَزِدْنَ عَلَيْهِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: “Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." Naafi' said: I was fold that Umm Salamah said: what about us (women)? He said: A handspan (to drag along the Pound)." She said: Then our feet show. He said: "A cubit, but no more than that."

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يُبَاعَ مَا فِي رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِتَمْرٍ بِكَيْلٍ مُسَمًّى إِنْ زَادَ فَلِي وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَعَلَيَّ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا

It was narrated from IbnUmar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade muzaabanah.Muzaabanah means selling what is on the top of the palm dees for dried dates of a specified amount, if there is more it is mine (the buyer's) and if there is less then it is my (the buyer's) loss. Ibn Umar said: Zayd ibn Thaabit told me that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) granted a concession allowing 'araaya [1J sales.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade selling habl al-Habalah[2] .

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ يُصَلِّي أَحَدُكُمْ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ الصُّبْحَ صَلَّى وَاحِدَةً فَأَوْتَرَتْ لَهُ مَا قَدْ صَلَّى مِنْ اللَّيْلِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: A man said: O Messenger of Allah, how do you instruct us to pray at night? He said: "Let one of you pray two (rak'ahs) by two, then if he fears That dawn is approaching , he should pray one rak’ah , which will make what he has prayed during the night odd numbered.”

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ وَعَنْ السُّنْبُلِ حَتَّى يَبْيَضَّ وَيَأْمَنَ الْعَاهَةَ نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ

It was narroted from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade selling the fruit (if date palms until it beggan to develop colour (turn yellow or red) and ears of corn until they turned white (were fully developed) and wore free of blight He forbade that to I he seller and the buyer.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ كَأَنَّ بِيَدِي قِطْعَةَ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ وَلَا أُشِيرُ بِهَا إِلَى مَكَانٍ مِنْ الْجَنَّةِ إِلَّا طَارَتْ بِي إِلَيْهِ فَقَصَّتْهَا حَفْصَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَخَاكِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ أَوْ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ

It was narrated that Naafi' said: Ibn 'Umar said: I saw in a dream that I had a piece of brocade in my hand, and I did not point with it to any place in Paradise but it flew with me to place. Hafsah told the prophet about that and he Your brother is a righteous Man “ or “ Abdullah is a righteous man."
