حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَزْهُوَ وَعَنْ السُّنْبُلِ حَتَّى يَبْيَضَّ وَيَأْمَنَ الْعَاهَةَ نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4493
It was narroted from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade selling the fruit (if date palms until it beggan to develop colour (turn yellow or red) and ears of corn until they turned white (were fully developed) and wore free of blight He forbade that to I he seller and the buyer.
