حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ وَغِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا وَعُصَيَّةُ الَّذِينَ عَصَوْا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "May Allah keep Aslam safe and sound (saalama) and may Allah forgive (ghafara) Ghifaar, but 'Usayyah have disobeyed {'asaw) Allah and His Messenger."

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَقُولُهُ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: A man said to the Prophet (PBUH): I am taken advantage of in buying and selling. He said: "When you enter into a transaction, say: There should be no cheating (on either side)."

إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ فَکَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَقُولُهُ ← رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ ← ابْنِ عُمَرَ ← عبد الله بن دينار ← سُفْيَانَ، ← الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُکَيْنٍ

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَنَبَذْتُهُ وَقَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar: I heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) acquired a ring of gold, and the people acquired rings of gold. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "I had acquired a ring of gold, but I have thrown it away. I shall never wear it again. And the people threw away their rings.

إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ ← رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِنِّي اتَّخَذْتُ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَنَبَذْتُهُ ← اتَّخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ← ابْنِ عُمَرَ ← عبد الله بن دينار ← سُفْيَانَ، ← الْفَضْلُ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا سَاقِطًا يَدَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَا تَجْلِسْ هَكَذَا إِنَّمَا هَذِهِ جِلْسَةُ الَّذِينَ يُعَذَّبُونَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saw a man sitting with his hands on the floor (instead on his thighs) when praying, he said: "Do not sit like this; this is how those who will punished sit."

حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الْعُمَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ مِثْلَ صَاحِبِ فَرَقِ الْأَرُزِّ فَلْيَكُنْ مِثْلَهُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا صَاحِبُ فَرَقِ الْأَرُزِّ قَالَ خَرَجَ ثَلَاثَةٌ فَغَيَّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ السَّمَاءُ فَدَخَلُوا غَارًا فَجَاءَتْ صَخْرَةٌ مِنْ أَعْلَى الْجَبَلِ حَتَّى طَبَّقَتْ الْبَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَعَالَجُوهَا فَلَمْ يَسْتَطِيعُوهَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ لَقَدْ وَقَعْتُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ عَظِيمٍ فَلْيَدْعُ كُلُّ رَجُلٍ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا عَمِلَ لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَنْ يُنْجِيَنَا مِنْ هَذَا فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لِي أَبَوَانِ شَيْخَانِ كَبِيرَانِ وَكُنْتُ أَحْلُبُ حِلَابَهُمَا فَأَجِيئُهُمَا وَقَدْ نَامَا فَكُنْتُ أَبِيتُ قَائِمًا وَحِلَابُهُمَا عَلَى يَدِي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَبْدَأَ بِأَحَدٍ قَبْلَهُمَا أَوْ أَنْ أُوقِظَهُمَا مِنْ نَوْمِهِمَا وَصِبْيَتِي يَتَضَاغَوْنَ حَوْلِي فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي إِنَّمَا فَعَلْتُهُ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَافْرُجْ عَنَّا قَالَ فَتَحَرَّكَتْ الصَّخْرَةُ قَالَ وَقَالَ الثَّانِي اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ كَانَتْ لِي ابْنَةُ عَمٍّ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْءٌ مِمَّا خَلَقْتَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْهَا فَسُمْتُهَا نَفْسَهَا فَقَالَتْ لَا وَاللَّهِ دُونَ مِائَةِ دِينَارٍ فَجَمَعْتُهَا وَدَفَعْتُهَا إِلَيْهَا حَتَّى إِذَا جَلَسْتُ مِنْهَا مَجْلِسَ الرَّجُلِ فَقَالَتْ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَفُضَّ الْخَاتَمَ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْهَا فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّمَا فَعَلْتُهُ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَافْرُجْ عَنَّا قَالَ فَزَالَتْ الصَّخْرَةُ حَتَّى بَدَتْ السَّمَاءُ وَقَالَ الثَّالِثُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْجَرْتُ أَجِيرًا بِفَرَقٍ مِنْ أَرُزٍّ فَلَمَّا أَمْسَى عَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ حَقَّهُ فَأَبَى أَنْ يَأْخُذَهُ وَذَهَبَ وَتَرَكَنِي فَتَحَرَّجْتُ مِنْهُ وَثَمَّرْتُهُ لَهُ وَأَصْلَحْتُهُ حَتَّى اشْتَرَيْتُ مِنْهُ بَقَرًا وَرَاعِيَهَا فَلَقِيَنِي بَعْدَ حِينٍ فَقَالَ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَأَعْطِنِي أَجْرِي وَلَا تَظْلِمْنِي فَقُلْتُ انْطَلِقْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الْبَقَرِ وَرَاعِيهَا فَخُذْهَا فَقَالَ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تَسْخَرْ بِي فَقُلْتُ إِنِّي لَسْتُ أَسْخَرُ بِكَ فَانْطَلَقَ فَاسْتَاقَ ذَلِكَ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنِّي إِنَّمَا فَعَلْتُهُ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِكَ خَشْيَةً مِنْكَ فَافْرُجْ عَنَّا فَتَدَحْرَجَتْ الصَّخْرَةُ فَخَرَجُوا يَمْشُونَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever among you can be like the man with the measure of rice, let him do so." They said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the story of the man with the measure of rice? He said: "Three men went out, and the sky became cloudy, so they went into a cave, but then a rock fell from the top of the mountain and sealed the entrance to the cave. They tried to push it but they could not move it. So they said to one another: We have fallen into a bad situation. Let each man pray by virtue of the best deed he did; perhaps Allah will save us from this. One of them said: O Allah, verily You know that I have parents who were very old, and I used to go and milk (the sheep) and bring the milk to them. If they had fallen asleep, I would spend the night standing, with the milk in my hands, not wanting to start with anyone else before them or wake them from their sleep, and my children would be crying (with hunger) around me. If you know that I only did that out of fear of You, then grant us relief. And the rock shifted. The second man said: O Allah, verily You know that I had a female paternal cousin and nothing You created was dearer to me than her. I tried to have my way with her in return for money, and she said' No, by Allah, not unless you give me one hundred dinars. So I collected that amount and gave it to her, then when I was as dose her as a man who wants to be intimate with his wife, she said: Fear Allah and do not break the seal except in a lawful manner. So I got up and left her. If You know that I only did that out of fear of You, then grant us relief. And the rock shifted until the sky appeared. The third man said: O Allah, verily you know that I hired a worker for a measure of rice. When evening came, I offered him his due but he refused to take it, and he went away and left me. I did not feel comfortable keeping it, so I cultivated it and took care of it, until I bought some cattle and a herdsman with the proceeds. Then he met me after a while and said: Fear Allah and give me my wages, and do not wrong me. I said: Go to those cattle and their herdsman and take them. He said: Fear Allah and do not make fun of me. I said: I am not making fun of you. So he went and took them all away. If You know that I only did that seeking Your pleasure and out of fear of You, then grant us relief. And the rock m 0 ved and they came walking out (of the cave).

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا ثَلَاثَةُ رَهْطٍ يَتَمَاشَوْنَ أَخَذَهُمْ الْمَطَرُ فَأَوَوْا إِلَى غَارٍ فِي جَبَلٍ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ فِيهِ حَطَّتْ صَخْرَةٌ مِنْ الْجَبَلِ فَأَطْبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ مِثْلَ مَعْنَاهُ

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا يَقُولُ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَتْلِ الْكِلَابِ فَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ بَعَثَ فَقَتَلْنَا الْكِلَابَ حَتَّى وَجَدْنَا امْرَأَةً قَدِمَتْ مِنْ الْبَادِيَةِ فَقَتَلْنَا كَلْبًا لَهَا

Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sent people out to kill the dogs and I was among those whom he sent. We killed the dogs to such an extent that we found a woman who had come from the desert, and we killed a dog of hers.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ رُؤْيَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَبَاءِ الْمَدِينَةِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ امْرَأَةً سَوْدَاءَ ثَائِرَةَ الرَّأْسِ خَرَجَتْ مِنْ الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى أَقَامَتْ بِمَهْيَعَةَ وَهِيَ الْجُحْفَةُ فَأَوَّلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ وَبَاءَ الْمَدِينَةِ نُقِلَ إِلَى الْجُحْفَةِ

Moosa ibn 'Uqbah narrated from Saalim that lie told him about the dream of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) concerning the epidemic of Madinah. It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "I saw a black woman with unkempt hair coming out of Madinah until she stopped in a vast flat land" which is al-Juhfah. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) interpreted it as referring to the epidemic of Madinah that had moved to al-Juhfah.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَحْكِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِي خَرَجَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِي ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِي ضَمِنْتُ لَهُ أَنْ أُرْجِعَهُ بِمَا أَصَابَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَغَنِيمَةٍ وَإِنْ قَبَضْتُهُ أَنْ أَغْفِرَ لَهُ وَأَرْحَمَهُ وَأُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) in a hadeeth qudsi that his Lord (PBUH) said: "If any of My slaves goes out striving in jihad for My sake, seeking My pleasure, I guarantee him that I shall bring him back with whatever he has attained of reward and booty, and if I take his soul, I shall forgive him have mercy on him and admit him to Paradise.”

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ حَفِظْتُ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرَ صَلَوَاتٍ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ

It was narrated that al- Mugheerah ibn Salmaan said: Ibn 'Umar said: I learned ten rak'ahs from the Prophet (PBUH) two rak'ahs before Fajr prayer, two rak'ahs before Zuhr prayer, two rak'ahs after Zuhr prayer, two rak'ahs after Maghrib prayer and two rak' ahs after 'Isha' prayer.

المغيرة بن سلمان ← مُحَمَّدٍ ← ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ← رَوْحٌ،

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ مَوْلًى لِقُرَيْشٍ سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ إِلَّا وَالسِّوَاكُ عِنْدَهُ فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ بَدَأَ بِالسِّوَاكِ

Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Mihraan, the freed slave of Quraysh, narrated: I heard my grandfather narrate from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) never slept except the siwaak was beside him and when he woke up he would start with the siwaak.

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَحِمَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً صَلَّى قَبْلَ الْعَصْرِ أَرْبَعًا

Muhammad ibn Muslim ibn Mihraan narrated that he heard his grandfather narrate from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "May Allah have mercy on a man who prays four rak'ahs before 'Asr."
