حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ الْجُمُعَةَ فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ

It was narrated from ibn Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "If one of you (wants to) come to Jumu'ah, let him do ghusl."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا لَاعَنَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَانْتَفَى مِنْ وَلَدِهَا فَفَرَّقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَأَلْحَقَ الْوَلَدَ بِأُمِّهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man engaged in li'aan with his wife, and disowned her child. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) separated them and attributed the child to his mother

قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ قَالَ أَبِي و حَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادٌ الْخَيَّاطُ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلَاةُ الْعَصْرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "The one who misses 'Asr is like the one who loses his family and wealth.

قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ تُصِيبُهُ جَنَابَةٌ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأْ وَاغْسِلْ ذَكَرَكَ ثُمَّ نَمْ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that 'Umar ibn al-Khattaab told the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that he became junub at night, and the Messenger of Allah sai d to him; "Do wudoo', and wash your private part, then sleep.”

قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ كَمَثَلِ صَاحِبِ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ إِنْ عَاهَدَ عَلَيْهَا أَمْسَكَهَا وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَهَا ذَهَبَتْ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The likeness of the companion of the Qur'an is that of (the owner of) a hobbled camel; if he remains vigilant he will keep it, but if lie lets it go it will disappear."

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Bilaal gives the call to prayer when it still night, so eat and drink until you hear the call of Ibn Umm Maktoom."

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ ثُوَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَدْنَى أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَنْزِلَةً الَّذِي يَنْظُرُ إِلَى جِنَانِهِ وَنَعِيمِهِ وَخَدَمِهِ وَسُرُرِهِ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَلْفِ سَنَةٍ وَإِنَّ أَكْرَمَهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ مَنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَجْهِهِ غُدْوَةً وَعَشِيَّةً ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ إِلَى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar, and attributed to the Prophet (PBUH), that he said: 'The lowest in status among the people of Paradise will be the one who looks out on his gardens, delights, servants and thrones as far as the distance of a thousand years, and the dearest of them to Allah will be one who gazes upon His Countenance morning and Evening.” Then he recited this verse: "Some faces that Day shall be Nadir.ah Looking at their Lord (Allah)" [aJ-Qiyaamah 75:22,23].

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ قَالَ يَقُومُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي الرَّشْحِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ آذَانِهِمْ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar concerning the verse" 'The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)' [al-Mutaffifeen 83:6], and attributed to the Prophet (PBUH) that he said: "They will stand on the Day of Resurrection submerged in sweat up to halfway up their ears."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُكْرِي أَرْضَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ وَبَعْضَ عَمَلِ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ وَلَوْ شِئْتُ قُلْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ إِمَارَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ حَدِيثٌ فَذَهَبَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ فَتَرَكَ أَنْ يُكْرِيَهَا فَكَانَ إِذَا سُئِلَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ زَعَمَ ابْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ كِرَاءِ الْمَزَارِعِ

It was narrated from Naafi' that Ibn 'Umar used to lease out his land at the time of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthmaan and part of Mu'aawiyah's caliphate and, if you wish, I could say at the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) until, towards the end of Mu'aawiyah's caliphate, he heard about a hadeeth from Raafi' ibn Khadeej, So he went to him, and I was with him; he asked him and he (Raafi) said: The Messenger of Ahah (PBUH) forbade leasing out farmland. So he stopped doing that and if he was asked about it he would say lbn Khadeej says that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade leasing out farmland.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَابَنَةِ قَالَ فَكَانَ نَافِعٌ يُفَسِّرُهَا الثَّمَرَةُ تُشْتَرَى بِخَرْصِهَا تَمْرًا بِكَيْلٍ مُسَمًّى إِنْ زَادَتْ فَلِي وَإِنْ نَقَصَتْ فَعَلَيَّ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of (PBUH) forbade muzaabanah. Naafi' used to explain it as selling what is on the top of the palm trees for dried dates of a specified amount, if there is more it is mire (the buyer’s) and if there is less then it is my (the buyer's) loss.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَسَأَلَ عُمَرُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا ثُمَّ يُمْهِلَهَا حَتَّى تَحِيضَ حَيْضَةً أُخْرَى ثُمَّ يُمْهِلَهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمَسَّهَا فَتِلْكَ الْعِدَّةُ الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُطَلَّقَ لَهَا النِّسَاءُ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا سُئِلَ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ يَقُولُ إِمَّا أَنْتَ طَلَّقْتَهَا وَاحِدَةً أَوْ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُرَاجِعَهَا ثُمَّ يُمْهِلَهَا حَتَّى تَحِيضَ حَيْضَةً أُخْرَى ثُمَّ يُمْهِلَهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقَهَا إِنْ لَمْ يُرِدْ إِمْسَاكَهَا وَإِمَّا أَنْتَ طَلَّقْتَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فِيمَا أَمَرَكَ بِهِ مِنْ طَلَاقِ امْرَأَتِكَ وَبَانَتْ مِنْكَ وَبِنْتَ مِنْهَا

It was narrated from Naaff that Ibn 'Umar divorced his wife when she was menstruating. 'Umar asked the Prophet (PBUH) (about that) and he instructed him to take her back, then wait until she had gone through another menstrual cycle, then to wait until she became pure, then to divorce her before being intimate with her. That is the 'iddah (prescribed period) that Allah (PBUH) has enjoined for the divorce of women. If lbn 'Umar was asked about a man who divorced his wife when she was menstruating, he would say: If you have divorced her once or twice, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) told him (meaning himself) to take her back, then wait until she menstruated again, then wait until she became pure, then divorce her if he does not want to keep her. If you have divorced her three times, then you have disobeyed AJIah (PBUH) with regard to the manner in which He conimanded you to divorce your wife, and the divorce is irrevocable.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَدَعُ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَا آمَنُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْعَامَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ قِتَالٌ فَلَوْ أَقَمْتَ فَقَالَ قَدْ حَجَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَإِنْ يُحَلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ أَفْعَلْ كَمَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالْبَيْدَاءِ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَى سَبِيلَهُمَا إِلَّا وَاحِدًا أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ مَعَ عُمْرَتِي حَجًّا ثُمَّ طَافَ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that he never stopped doing Hajj and 'Umrah, 'Abdullah ibn 'Abdullah entered upon him and said: I fear that there will be fighting among the people this year; why don't you stay here? He (Ibn 'Umar) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) wanted to visit Makkah and the kuffaar of Quraysh prevented him from reaching the House; if I am prevented from reaching it, i shall do what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did. Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, says: "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad (PBUH)) you have a good example to follow" [al-Ahzaab 33:21]. Then he said: I ask you to bear witness that I have decided to do 'Umrah. Then he travelled until, when he was in al-Bayda', he said: I think that they are the same; I ask you to bear witness that I have decided to do Hajj along with my 'Umrah. Then he came and did one tawaaf (circuma m bulation of the Ka'bah) for both.
