حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَلَ أَهْلَ خَيْبَرَ بِشَطْرِ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ ثَمَرٍ أَوْ زَرْعٍ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made a contract with the people of Khaybar for half of the dates or grains produced.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: 'Two should not converse privately to the exclusion of the third.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْقُرْآنِ مَثَلُ صَاحِبِ الْإِبِلِ الْمُعَقَّلَةِ إِنْ عَقَلَهَا صَاحِبُهَا حَبَسَهَا وَإِنْ أَطْلَقَهَا ذَهَبَتْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "The likeness of the companion of the Qur'aan is that of the owner of a hobbled camel; if he hobbles it he will keep it, but if he lets it go it will disappear."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّيْنِ زَنَيَا فَأُتِيَ بِهِمَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِمَا قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يَقِيهَا بِنَفْسِهِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that two Jews committed zina, and they were brought to prophet (PBUH) who ordered that be stoned. And I saw the man shielding her with his body.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْرَكَ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ فِي رَكْبٍ وَهُوَ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ لِيَحْلِفْ حَالِفٌ بِاللَّهِ أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) caught up with "Umar when he was among a group of riders and he was swearing by his father. He said: "Do not swear by your fathers. Whoever wants to swear, let him swear by Allah or else remain silent."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ السَّمْعُ وَالطَّاعَةُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ فِيمَا أَحَبَّ أَوْ كَرِهَ إِلَّا أَنْ يُؤْمَرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَإِنْ أُمِرَ بِمَعْصِيَةٍ فَلَا سَمْعَ وَلَا طَاعَةَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "The (Muslim) must hear and obey, whether he likes it or not, unless he is commanded to commit a sin; if he is commanded to commit a sin, then there is no hearing and no obedience."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا السُّورَةَ فَيَقْرَأُ السَّجْدَةَ فَيَسْجُدُ وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى مَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا لِمَوْضِعِ جَبْهَتِهِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to recite a soorah to us, and when he recited a soorah in which a prostration was required, he would prostrate and we would prostrate with him, until some of us could not find any spot for his forehead.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Prayer in congregation is superior to prayer offered alone by twenty-seven degrees."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَوْا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي الْمَنَامِ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرَاكُمْ قَدْ تَتَابَعْتُمْ فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الْأَوَاخِرِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that some men among the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) saw Laylat ai-Qadr in their dreams, in the last seven days (of Ramadaan). The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "l see that your dreams agree concerning the last seven nights, so seek it in the last seven nights."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ جُرَيْجٍ أَوْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَرْبَعُ خِلَالٍ رَأَيْتُكَ تَصْنَعُهُنَّ لَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا يَصْنَعُهُنَّ قَالَ مَا هِيَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُكَ تَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ وَرَأَيْتُكَ تَسْتَلِمُ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ لَا تَسْتَلِمُ غَيْرَهُمَا وَرَأَيْتُكَ لَا تُهِلُّ حَتَّى تَضَعَ رِجْلَكَ فِي الْغَرْزِ وَرَأَيْتُكَ تُصَفِّرُ لِحْيَتَكَ قَالَ أَمَّا لُبْسِي هَذِهِ النِّعَالَ السِّبْتِيَّةَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَلْبَسُهَا يَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا وَيَسْتَحِبُّهَا وَأَمَّا اسْتِلَامُ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَلِمُهُمَا لَا يَسْتَلِمُ غَيْرَهُمَا وَأَمَّا تَصْفِيرِي لِحْيَتِي فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَفِّرُ لِحْيَتَهُ وَأَمَّا إِهْلَالِي إِذَا اسْتَوَتْ بِي رَاحِلَتِي فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا وَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ فِي الْغَرْزِ وَاسْتَوَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ أَهَلَّ

It was narrated that Jurayi or Ibn Jurayj said: I said to Ibn 'Umar: Four things I have Seen you do and i have not seen anyone else doing them. He said: What axe they? He said: I saw you wearing sandals of tanned leather, and I saw you touching these two Yemeni comers (of the Ka'bah) and no others, and I saw you not starting to recite the Talbiyah (after entering ihram) until you put your foot in the stirrup, and I saw you dyeing your beard with henna He said: As for my wearing these sandals of leather, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to wear them and do wudoo' in them, and he liked them. As for touching these two comers, I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) touch them, and he did not touch any others. As for my dying nay beard with henna, I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) his beard with henna As for not starting to recite the Talbiyah (after entering ihram) until my mount rose up with me, I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he put his foot in the stirrup and his mount rose up with him, then he started to recite the Talbiyah.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَبْدُ إِذَا أَحْسَنَ عِبَادَةَ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَنَصَحَ لِسَيِّدِهِ كَانَ لَهُ الْأَجْرُ مَرَّتَيْنِ

It was narrated from lbn 'Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) "If a slave worships his Lord properly and is sincere towards his master, he will have a twofold reward."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَذْوَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ وَإِذَا قَالَ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ قَالَ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَا يَصْنَعُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فِي السُّجُودِ

It was narrated from Saalim that his father said: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) started to pray, he would raise his hands until they were level with his shoulders, and when he bowed he did the same thing, and when he rose from bowing he did the same thing. And when he said: Allah hears the one who praises Him (Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah), he said: Char Lord to You be praise (Rabbana wa laka al-hamd). And he did not do that when he prostrated.
