حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ اشْتَرَى نَخْلًا قَدْ أُبِّرَتْ فَثَمَرَتُهَا لِلَّذِي أَبَّرَهَا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشْرِطَ الَّذِي اشْتَرَاهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever buys date palms that have been pollinated, the produce belongs to the one who pollinated them, unless the buyer stipulates otherwise.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَجِئْتُ وَقَدْ فَرَغَ فَسَأَلْتُ النَّاسَ مَاذَا قَالَ قَالُوا نَهَى أَنْ يُنْتَبَذَ فِي الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْقَرْعِ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) addressed the people one day, and I came when he had finished, so I asked the people: What did he say? They said: He forbade making nabeedh in varnished jars and gourds.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ مَثَلُ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ تَعِيرُ إِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً وَإِلَى هَذِهِ مَرَّةً لَا تَدْرِي أَيَّهُمَا تَتْبَعُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The likeness of the hypocrite is that erf a sheep that roams between two flocks, going to one and then to the other, not knowing to which of them it belongs."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: If the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) wanted to hasten when travelling, he would put Maghrib and 'Isha' together.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ يُطَلِّقُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُجَامِعَهَا أَوْ يُمْسِكَهَا فَإِنَّهَا الْعِدَّةُ الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُطَلَّقَ لَهَا النِّسَاءُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I divorced my wife at the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when she was menstruating. 'Umar told the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about that and he said: "Tell him to take her back until she has become pure, then has another period, then when she has become pure again, he may divorce her, if he wishes, before he has intercourse with her or he may keep her. That is the 'iddah {prescribed periods) at which Allah has enjoined the divorce of women."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُصْبِحَ صَلَّى وَاحِدَةً فَأَوْتَرَتْ لَهُ مَا صَلَّى

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he was on the minbar, about prayer at night. He said: "It is two (rak'ahs) by two, then if one of you fears that dawn is about to break, let him pray one rak'ah (Witr), which will make what he has prayed odd-numbered."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اجْعَلُوا آخِرَ صَلَاتِكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وِتْرًا

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Make the last of your prayer at night Witr."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاصَلَ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَوَاصَلَ النَّاسُ فَنَهَاهُمْ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أُطْعَمُ وَأُسْقَى

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) fasted continuously (without breaking the fast at night) in Ramadan, so the people fasted continuously. Then he forbade them to do that. It was said to him: But you fast continuously. He said: "I am not like one of you; I am fed and given to drink (by my Lord)."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَأَعْطَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا فَجَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَبْتَاعُ الْفَرَسَ الَّذِي حَمَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَا تَبْتَعْهُ وَلَا تَرْجِعْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ

It was narra ted from Ibn Umar that 'Umar gave a horse to be ridden (in jihad) for the sake of and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) gave it to a man. Then 'Umar to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: Shall I buy the horse that I gave to be ridden? He said: "Do not buy it, and do not take back your charity."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَأَى حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ تُبَاعُ عِنْدَ بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ اشْتَرَيْتَهَا فَلَبِسْتَهَا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَلِلْوُفُودِ إِذَا قَدِمُوا عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لَا خَلَاقَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ ثُمَّ جَاءَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهَا حُلَلٌ فَأَعْطَى عُمَرَ مِنْهَا حُلَّةً فَقَالَ عُمَرُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَسَوْتَنِيهَا وَقَدْ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَمْ أَكْسُكَهَا لَتَلْبَسَهَا إِنَّمَا كَسَوْتُكَهَا لِتَبِيعَهَا أَوْ لِتَكْسُوَهَا قَالَ فَكَسَاهَا عُمَرُ أَخًا لَهُ مُشْرِكًا مِنْ أُمِّهِ بِمَكَّةَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that 'Umar ibn al-Khattaab saw a suit of striped silk being sold at the door of the mosque, and he said: O Messenger of Allah, why don't you buy this and wear it on Fridays, and for the delegations when they come to you? The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "This is only worn by one who has no share in the Hereafter." Then some suits like it were brought to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and he gave one of them to 'Umar. 'Umar said: O Messenger of Allah (PBUH), are you giving me this to wear when you said what you said? The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "I am not giving it to you to wear it; I gave it to you to sell or give to someone." So 'Umar gave it to a mushrik brother of his through his mother in Makkah.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي يَكْذِبُ عَلَيَّ يُبْنَى لَهُ بَيْتٌ فِي النَّارِ

It was narrated from Abu Bakr ibn Saalim, from his father, that his grandfather said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "The one who tells a lie about me, a house will be built for him in Hell."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ الرِّجَالَ وَالنِّسَاءَ كَانُوا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ الْإِنَاءِ الْوَاحِدِ جَمِيعًا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that men and women did wudoo' together from one (large) vessel at the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).
