حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ فَلَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْغَدَاةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ يَعْنِي الشَّمْسَ

It was narrated that lbn 'Umar said: I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and with Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Uthmaan; there is no prayer after dawn until it (i.e., the sun) has risen.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنِ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not aim to pray when the sun is rising or when it is setting, for it rises between the two sides of the head of the Shaytaan "

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ لِلنِّسَاءِ أَنْ يُرْخِينَ شِبْرًا فَقُلْنَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَنْ تَنْكَشِفَ أَقْدَامُنَا فَقَالَ ذِرَاعًا وَلَا تَزِدْنَ عَلَيْهِ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) granted a concession to the women allowing them (to lengthen their hems by) a handspan (to drag along the ground). They said: O Messenger of Allah, but then our feet will show. He said: "A cubit, but no more than that."

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْعُمَرِيُّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ أَسْمَائِكُمْ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Among the best of your names are 'Abdullah and 'Abd ar-Rahmaan."

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَنَابٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ قَالَ فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ الْبَعِيرَ يَكُونُ بِهِ الْجَرَبُ فَتَجْرَبُ الْإِبِلُ قَالَ ذَلِكَ الْقَدَرُ فَمَنْ أَجْرَبَ الْأَوَّلَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "There is no Contagion [1], no superstitious Relief in bird omens and no Hammah [2]” A man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, what about a camel that has the mange, then the (other) camels get infected? He said: "That is the divine decree. Then who infected the first one?"

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ رَزِينِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَحْمَرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا فَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا آخَرُ فَيُغْلَقُ الْبَابُ وَيُرْخَى السِّتْرُ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا هَلْ تَحِلُّ لِلْأَوَّلِ قَالَ لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الْعُسَيْلَةَ و

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Prophet (PBUH) was asked about a man who divorces his wife three times, then another man marries her, closes the door and let the curtain drop, then he divorces her before consummating the marriage with her. Does she become permissible for the first (husband)? He said: "No, not until he (the second husband) tastes the sweetness (intimacy).”

It was narrated that Ibn 'Unw said: When the messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered Makkah, lie said: O Allah, do not cause us to die in Makkah until we depart from it “

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُضْرَبَ الصُّوَرُ يَعْنِي الْوَجْهَ

It was narrated from SaaUm that his father said: The messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade striking the image, meaning the face.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَعْجَلْ أَحَدُكُمْ عَنْ طَعَامِهِ لِلصَّلَاةِ قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَسْمَعُ الْإِقَامَةَ وَهُوَ يَتَعَشَّى فَلَا يَعْجَلُ

It was narrated that Ibn “Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "No one of you should rush when eating for the prayer.” And Ibn 'Umar would hear the iqnamah (call immediately preceding the prayer) whilst he was eating his supper, and lie would not rush.

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ قَالَ قَالَ لِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ أُوَدِّعُكَ كَمَا وَدَّعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ

It was narrated that Qaza'ah said: Ibn 'Umar said to me i shall bid farewell to you as the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) bade farewell to me: "I entrust to Allah your religous commitment your vesponsibilities and the last of your deeds.”

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْجُمَحِيُّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْزِلُ بِعَرَفَةَ وَادِيَ نَمِرَةَ فَلَمَّا قَتَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَيَّةَ سَاعَةٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرُوحُ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ذَاكَ رُحْنَا فَأَرْسَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ رَجُلًا يَنْظُرُ أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ يَرُوحُ فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنْ يَرُوحَ قَالَ أَزَاغَتْ الشَّمْسُ قَالُوا لَمْ تَزِغْ الشَّمْسُ قَالَ زَاغَتْ الشَّمْسُ قَالُوا لَمْ تَزِغْ فَلَمَّا قَالُوا قَدْ زَاغَتْ ارْتَحَلَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to camp in 'Arafah at Wadi Namirah. When al-Hajjaaj killed Ibn az-Zubayr, he sent word to Ibn 'Umar, asking him at what time the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) departed on this day. He said: When it is time, we shall depart. Al-Hajjaaj sent a man to watch and see at what time he would depart. When Ibn Umar wanted to depart, he said: Has the sun passed the meridian? They said: It has not passed the meridian yet. He said: Has the sun passed the meridian? They said: Not yet. When they said that it had passed the meridian, he departed.
