حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَاعَنَ بَيْنَ رَجُلٍ وَامْرَأَتِهِ وَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) asked a man of the Ansaar and his wife to engage in li'aan, then he separated them.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْفَلَاةِ وَمَا يَنُوبُهُ مِنْ الدَّوَابِّ وَالسِّبَاعِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ الْمَاءُ قَدْرَ الْقُلَّتَيْنِ لَمْ يَحْمِلْ الْخَبَثَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) being asked about water in the wilderness that may be frequented by animals and carnivores. The Prophet (PBUH) at : "If the water is the amount of two qullahs (a qullah is an earthenware bottle) it cannot become impure."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ وَاسِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَقِيتُ يَوْمًا فَوْقَ بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَاجَتِهِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الشَّامِ مُسْتَدْبِرَ الْقِبْلَةِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: l went up on the roof of Hafsah's house, and i saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) (sitting to) relieve himself, facing towards Syria, with his back towards the qiblah.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَنَامُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ نَقِيلُ فِيهِ وَنَحْنُ شَبَابٌ

It was narrated that lbn Umar said: At the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) we used sleep in the mosque and take our siesta there, when we were young men.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَصَابَ عُمَرُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ أَصَبْتُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ لَمْ أُصِبْ مَالًا قَطُّ أَنْفَسَ عِنْدِي مِنْهُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُ بِهِ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ حَبَسْتَ أَصْلَهَا وَتَصَدَّقْتَ بِهَا قَالَ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ أَنْ لَا تُبَاعَ وَلَا تُوهَبَ وَلَا تُوَرَّثَ قَالَ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ فِي الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْقُرْبَى وَالرِّقَابِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَالضَّيْفِ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَى مَنْ وَلِيَهَا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ أَوْ يُطْعِمَ صَدِيقًا غَيْرَ مُتَأَثِّلٍ فِيهِ

It was narrated that Ibn "Umar said: Umar was given a share of land in Khaybar, and he came to the Prophet (PBUH) to consult him about it. He said: I have been given a share of land at khaybar and I have never been given any wealth that is more precious to me than it. What do you command me to do with it? He said: "If you wish, you can ‘freeze' it and give it in charity." So 'Umar gave it in charity and stipulated that it was not to be sold, given as a gift or inherited, and he gave it (its yield) in charity to the poor and relatives, for the manumission of slaves, for (those striving in jihad} for the sake of Allah and for wayfarers and guests; there was no sin on the one appointed to look after it if he ate from it on a reasonable basis, and fed a friend without storing anything for the future.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ غَيْلَانَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ الثَّقَفِيَّ أَسْلَمَ وَتَحْتَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَرْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, that when Ghaylaan ibn Salamah ath-Thaqafi became Muslim, he had ten wives. The Prophet (PBUH) said to him "Choose four of them."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ قَالَ رُبَّمَا أَمَّنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِالسُّورَتَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثِ فِي الْفَرِيضَةِ

It was narrated from 'Ubaydullah: Naafi' told me: Sometimes Ibn 'Umar would lead us in prayer with two or three soorahs (in one rak'ah) in the obligatory prayer.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّهْرُ تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْدُرُوا لَهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا كَانَ لَيْلَةُ تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَكَانَ فِي السَّمَاءِ سَحَابٌ أَوْ قَتَرٌ أَصْبَحَ صَائِمًا

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: The month is twenty-nine (days), like this and like this and like this. If it is cloudy, then work it out." If the sky was cloudy or it was raining on the night following the twenty-ninth (of Sha'baan), Ibn 'Umar would start to fast the next day. [2]

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ فَإِذَا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَبْرُزَ وَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَغِيبَ

Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not aim to pray' when the sun is rising or when it is setting, for it rises between the two sides of the head of the Shaytaan. When the edge of the sun's disk has appeared do not pray until it is fully risen, and when the edge of sunn‘s disk dips below the horizon do not pray until it has disappeared completely."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ يَقُومُ فِي رَشْحِهِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ أُذُنَيْهِ

It was narrated from lbn ‘Umar from the Prophet (PBUH): “The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists)' [al-Mutaffifeen 83:6). He will be submerged in his sweat up to halfway up his ears."

It was narrated that lbn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to set up a spear and pray facing it.
