حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَتَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِكُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ شَيْطَانٍ فَإِذَا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَبْرُزَ وَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَلَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَغِيبَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4612
Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not aim to pray' when the sun is rising or when it is setting, for it rises between the two sides of the head of the Shaytaan. When the edge of the sun's disk has appeared do not pray until it is fully risen, and when the edge of sunn‘s disk dips below the horizon do not pray until it has disappeared completely."
