حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُهُمْ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Messenger of (PBUH) sent an expedition towards Najd, and their share Was twelve camels each, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) gave each one an extra camel.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِضَجْنَانَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ نَادَى أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ مُنَادِيًا فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ أَوْ الْبَارِدَةِ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ

It was narrated that Naafi' said: We were with Ibn Umar in Dajnaan, when he gave the iqaamah (call immediately preceding the prayer), then he called out: Pray in your camps. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to instruct a caller, on a rainy or cold night, to call out: Pray in your camps.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَقَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَقَدْ اسْتَثْنَى

It was narrated from Naafi', from Ibn Umar, who attributed it to the Prophet (PBUH) "Whoever swears an oath and says. In sha Allah cannot break his oath (whether he goes ahead and fulfils the oath or not).

It was narrated from 'Abd-Allah that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade selling habl al-habalah .

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ جُدْعَانَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَهُوَ عَلَى دَرَجِ الْكَعْبَةِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ أَلَا إِنَّ قَتِيلَ الْعَمْدِ الْخَطَإِ بِالسَّوْطِ أَوْ الْعَصَا فِيهِ مِائَةٌ مِنْ الْإِبِلِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً الْمُغَلَّظَةُ فِيهَا أَرْبَعُونَ خَلِفَةً فِي بُطُونِهَا أَوْلَادُهَا إِنَّ كُلَّ مَأْثُرَةٍ كَانَتْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَدَمٍ وَدَعْوَى وَقَالَ مَرَّةً وَدَمٍ وَمَالٍ تَحْتَ قَدَمَيَّ هَاتَيْنِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ سِقَايَةِ الْحَاجِّ وَسِدَانَةِ الْبَيْتِ فَإِنِّي أُمْضِيهِمَا لِأَهْلِهِمَا عَلَى مَا كَانَتْ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: On the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, whilst standing on the steps of the Ka'bah: "Praise be to Allah Who fulfilled His promise, supported His slave and defeated the confederates alone. If a person is jjjied as a result of a deliberate strike with a whip or stick (that was not intended to kill), the diyah in this case is one hundred camels - on one occasion he said: a heavy compensation - among which forty should he visibly pregnant- All stories of exploits and blood claims of the JaahilhYah - and on one occasion he said: claims of blood and wealth - are beneath these two feet of mine, apart from the provision of water for the pilgrims and the custodianship of the House (the Ka'bah). I approve of them for their people as they were."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ سَمِعَ صَدَقَةَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ يَعْنِي عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ وَأَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنْ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ وَلَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَسَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَالُوا لَهُ فَأَيْنَ أَهْلُ الْعِرَاقِ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Sadaqah heard Ibn 'Umar say, i.e., narrating from the Prophet (PBUH) "The people of Najd should enter ihram from Qarn, the people of Syria from al-Juhfah and the people of Yemen from Yalamlam." And he heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "And miqaat of the people of Madinah is Dhu'l-Hulayfah." They said to him: From where should the people of Iraq (enter ihram)? Ibn 'Umar said: There was no (miqaat for them) at that time.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اسْتِلَامَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ يَحُطَّانِ الذُّنُوبَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, who attributed it to the Prophet (PBUH): "Touching the two corners (of the Ka'bah: the Black Stone and the Yemeni corner) erases sins."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعَ عَمْرٌو ابْنَ عُمَرَ كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلَا نَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ فَتَرَكْنَاهُ

Sufvaan narrated that 'Amr heard Ibn 'Umar say: We used to lease out land fin return for a portion of the yield) and we did not see anything wrong with that until Raafi' ibn Khadeej said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had forbidden it, so we stopped doing it.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعَ عَمْرٌو سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ حِسَابُكُمَا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَحَدُكُمَا كَاذِبٌ لَا سَبِيلَ لَكَ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَالِي قَالَ لَا مَالَ لَكَ إِنْ كُنْتَ صَدَقْتَ عَلَيْهَا فَهُوَ بِمَا اسْتَحْلَلْتَ مِنْ فَرْجِهَا وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَذَبْتَ عَلَيْهَا فَذَاكَ أَبْعَدُ لَكَ

'Amr heard Sa'eed ibn Jubayr say: J heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to the two who engaged in li'aan: "Your reckoning is with Allah; one of you is lying. You have no rights over her." He said; O Messenger of Allah, my property (i.e., the dowry I paid)? He said: "You have no right to it. If you are telling the truth about her, then it is in return for having been intimate with her, and if you are lying about her, then you have even less right to it."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ لَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا حَاصَرَ أَهْلَ الطَّائِفِ وَلَمْ يَقْدِرْ مِنْهُمْ عَلَى شَيْءٍ قَالَ إِنَّا قَافِلُونَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَكَأَنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ كَرِهُوا ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ اغْدُوا فَغَدَوْا عَلَى الْقِتَالِ فَأَصَابَهُمْ جِرَاحٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّا قَافِلُونَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَسُرَّ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) besieged the people of al-Taa'if, hut he did not attain any victory over them. He said: "We will go back (to Madinah) Allah wills.' it was as if the Muslims objected to that he said' "We will attack in the So they attacked in the morning and some of them were wounded. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH)said " We will go back (to Malinah) tomorrow, if Allah wills." The Muslims were happy and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) smiled.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ فَأَعْتَقَ أَحَدُهُمَا نَصِيبَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ مُوسِرًا قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةً لَا وَكْسَ وَلَا شَطَطَ ثُمَّ يُعْتَقُ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, who attributed it to the Prophet (PBUH): "If a slave is owned by two People, and one of them frees his share (of the slave), and he is well off, a fair price should be worked out for (the slave), no more and no less, then he should be freed."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ بِعْتُ مَا فِي رُءُوسِ نَخْلِي بِمِائَةِ وَسْقٍ إِنْ زَادَ فَلَهُمْ وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَلَهُمْ فَسَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ نَهَى عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا

It was narrated from 'Arm, from Ismaa'eel ash-Shaybaani who said: I sold what was at the top of my palm trees for one hundred wasqs and if there was more than that, it would be theirs (the buyers') and if there was less than that then it would be their loss Then I asked Ibn 'Umar (about that) and he said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade that, but he granted a concession allowing ' araayah [1].
