حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ بِضَجْنَانَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ نَادَى أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ مُنَادِيًا فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ أَوْ الْبَارِدَةِ أَلَا صَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 4580
It was narrated that Naafi' said: We were with Ibn Umar in Dajnaan, when he gave the iqaamah (call immediately preceding the prayer), then he called out: Pray in your camps. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to instruct a caller, on a rainy or cold night, to call out: Pray in your camps.
