حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنْ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ وَذُكِرَ لِي وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father that the Prophet (PBUH) defined the miqaats and on one occasion he said: "The miqaat for the people of Madeenah is Dhu'l-Hulayfah, the miqaat for the people of Syria is al-Juhfah and the miqaat for the people of Najd is Qam. And I was told, although I did not hear it, (that he said): "And the miqaat for the people of Yemen is Yalamlam."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَأْذَنَتْ أَحَدَكُمْ امْرَأَتُهُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَا يَمْنَعْهَا

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, from the prophet (PBUH): "If the wife of one of you asks for permission to go to the mosque, let him not prevent her from doing so."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ وَذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالْأَبْتَرَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَلْتَمِسَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَيَسْتَسْقِطَانِ الْحَبَلَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقْتُلُ كُلَّ حَيَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا فَرَآهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ أَوْ زَيْدُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ يُطَارِدُ حَيَّةً فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ نُهِيَ عَنْ ذَوَاتِ الْبُيُوتِ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, from the Prophet (PBUH):"Kill snakes and the one with two stripes and the short-tailed one, for they cause blindness and miscarriage.”lbn 'Umar used to kill every snake he found. Abu Lubaabah ibn 'Abd al-Mundhir or Zayd ibn al-Khattaab saw him chasing a snake and said: It is forbidden to kill those snakes that live in houses.

قَالَ قَرَأَ عَلَيَّ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ لَحْمِ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ

It was narrated from Saalim, from his father, from the Prophet ) who said: "No one should eat the meat of his udhiyah for more than three days"

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ كَيْفَ يُصَلَّى بِاللَّيْلِ قَالَ لِيُصَلِّ أَحَدُكُمْ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيَ الصُّبْحَ فَلْيُوتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ

It was narrated from Saalim that his father said: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) being asked: How are the night prayers to be performed? He said: "Let one of you pray two (rak'ahs) by two. then when he fears that dawn is about to break, let him pray one rah'ah as Witr.”

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ

'Abdullah ibn Dinar narrated that he heard Ibn 'Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade .selling or giving away the rights connected to wala.’[1]

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ عُذِّبُوا إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَاكِينَ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُصِيبَكُمْ مِثْلُ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar, from the Prophet (PBUH) who said; "Do not enter upon these people who have been punished, unless you are weeping. If you are not weeping then do not enter upon them, for I fear that there may befall you the like of what befell them."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الضَّبِّ فَقَالَ لَا آكُلُهُ وَلَا أُحَرِّمُهُ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) was asked about lizards. He sad "I do not eat it but i do not prohibit it."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنِ ابْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ الْيَهُودِيُّ فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ فَقُلْ وَعَلَيْكَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً إِذَا سَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ الْيَهُودُ فَقُولُوا وَعَلَيْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ السَّامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) "When a Jew greets you, what he is saying is 'as-saam 'alayka (death be upon you).” So say: 'wa 'alayka and also upon you|." And on one occasion he said: "When the jews greet you, say: 'wa 'daykum and also upon you), for what they are saving to you is ‘as-saam alaykum (death be upon you)."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا يَتَنَاجَ اثْنَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَتَنَاجَى الرَّجُلَانِ دُونَ الثَّالِثِ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) who said "If you are three, two should not converse privately to the exclusion of the third." And on one occasion he said: The Prophet (PBUH) forbade two men to talk privately to the exclusion of the third, if they are three."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَايِعُ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً فَيُلَقِّنُ أَحَدَنَا فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would accept the oath of allegiance with the pledge to hear and obey, then he would say: "As much as you as you are able to." On one occasion he said: And he would prompt one of us to say: "As much as I am able to."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا أَوْ يَكُونَ بَيْعَ خِيَارٍ

It was narrated that 'Abdullah ibn Dinaar said: I heard 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar say: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "Each party to a transaction has the option (of cancelling it) so long as they have not separated, except in the case of bay' al-khiyaar (a transaction in which the purchaser has the option of returning the goods within an agreed period).”
