حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ الرُّكُوعِ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ مِلْءَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that when the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) raised his head from bowing, he said: "O Allah our Lord, to You be praise, filling the heavens, filling the earth and filling whatever else You will."

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ الطَّعَامِ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا أَوْ يُلْعِقَهَا

Ibn Juraij said: I heard 'Ata' say: I heard Ibn 'Abbas (RA) say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "When one of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand until he licks it or has it licked for him.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ قَالَ شَيْءٌ أُرِيَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْيَقَظَةِ رَآهُ بِعَيْنِهِ حِينَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ

Ibn 'Abbas (RA) used to say: "We made not the vision which we showed you (O Muhammad as an actual eye-witness and not as a dream on the night of Al-Isra') but a trial for mankind" [al-Isra' 17:60], He said: [It was] something that the Prophet (PBUH) was shown when he was awake; he saw it with his own eyes when he was taken on the Night Journey to Baital-Maqdis (Jerusalem).

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَطَاءً يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مَالًا لَأَحَبَّ أَنَّ لَهُ إِلَيْهِ مِثْلَهُ وَلَا يَمْلَأُ نَفْسَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَاللَّهُ يَتُوبُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَلَا أَدْرِي أَمِنَ الْقُرْآنِ هُوَ أَمْ لَا

It was narrated that Ibn Juraij said: I heard 'Ata' say: i heard Ibn 'Abbas (RA) say: The Prophet of Allah (PBUH) said: "If the son of Adam had a valley filled with wealth he would like to have another one like it. Nothing could satisfy the soul of the son of Adam except dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of the one who repents." Ibn 'Abbas said: I do not know whether this is from the Qur'an or not.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَوَجَدْتُ لَيْلَتَهَا تِلْكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ حَتَّى إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ الْأَوَّلُ أَمْسَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُنَيَّةً حَتَّى إِذَا أَضَاءَ لَهُ الصُّبْحُ قَامَ فَصَلَّى الْوَتْرَ تِسْعَ رَكَعَاتٍ يُسَلِّمُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ وَتْرِهِ أَمْسَكَ يَسِيرًا حَتَّى إِذَا أَصْبَحَ فِي نَفْسِهِ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ جَنْبَهُ فَنَامَ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ جَخِيفَهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ بِلَالٌ فَنَبَّهَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ

Sa'eed bin Jubair said: I heard Ibn 'Abbas (RA) say: I came to my maternal aunt Maimoonah and I found that that was her night with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). And he narrated a hadeeth like that of Yazeed, except that he said: until when the first dawn came, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) paused for awhile, then when it grew light he got up and prayed Witr with nine rak'ahs, saying the salain after each two rak'ahs. Then when he had finished his Witr, he paused for awhile, and when he realised it was time for Fajr, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) got up and prayed the two (Sunnah) rak'ahs of Fair, then he lay down and slept until I could hear him breathing deeply. Then Bilal came and woke him up for the prayer, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) got up and prayed Fajr.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ مَكَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ سَنَةً

It was narrated from 'Ikrimah that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) used to say: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) stayed in Makkah for thirteen years, and he died when he was sixty-three years old.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمَّهُ تُوُفِّيَتْ أَفَيَنْفَعُهَا إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنَّ لِي مَخْرَفًا وَأُشْهِدُكَ أَنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ بِهِ عَنْهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that a man said; O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; will it benefit her if i give charity on her behalf? He said; "Yes." He said: I have a garden; i ask you to bear witness that I have given it in charity on her behalf.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَانَ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ لِلْحَائِضِ أَنْ تَصْدُرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطُوفَ إِذَا كَانَتْ قَدْ طَافَتْ فِي الْإِفَاضَةِ

' Amr bin Dinar narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) used to say that the Prophet (PBUH) granted a concession to the menstruating woman allowing her to leave before doing tawaf (the farewell tawaf), if she had done tawafal-ifadah.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ اسْتَفْتَى سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نَذْرٍ عَلَى أُمِّهِ تُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: Saad bin 'Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about a vow that his mother had made and she had died before fulfilling it. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Fulfil it on her behalf."

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ رَقَبَةَ بْنِ مَصْقَلَةَ بْنِ رَقَبَةَ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الْإِيَامِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيْدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ تَزَوَّجْ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَنَا كَانَ أَكْثَرَنَا نِسَاءً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Jubair said: Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said to me: Get married, for the best of us was the one who had the most wives (PBUH).

لِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ تَزَوَّجْ فَإِنَّ خَيْرَنَا كَانَ أَكْثَرَنَا نِسَاءً ← سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ← طَلْحَةَ الْأَيَامِيِّ ← رَقَبَةَ بْنِ مَصْقَلَةَ بْنِ رَقَبَةَ ← أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، ← رَوْحٌ،

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْلَى أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ تُوُفِّيَتْ أُمُّهُ وَهُوَ غَائِبٌ عَنْهَا فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمِّي تُوُفِّيَتْ وَأَنَا غَائِبٌ عَنْهَا فَهَلْ يَنْفَعُهَا إِنْ تَصَدَّقْتُ عَنْهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَإِنِّي أُشْهِدُكَ أَنَّ حَائِطِي الْمَخْرَفَ صَدَقَةٌ عَنْهَا

Ya'la narrated that he heard 'Ikrimah the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas (RA) say: Ibn 'Abbas (RA) told us that the mother of Saad bin 'Ubadah died when he was away from her. He went to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: O Messenger of Allah, my mother died when I was away from her. Will it benefit her if I give charity on her behalf? He said: "Yes." He said: I ask you to bear witness that my garden is charity given on her behalf.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَرَّاءِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَدِمَ لِأَرْبَعٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ فَصَلَّى بِنَا الصُّبْحَ بِالْبَطْحَاءِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً فَلْيَجْعَلْهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered ihram for Hajj and came on the fifth of Dhul-Hijjah and led us in Fajr prayer in al-Batha', then he said: "Whoever would like to make it 'Umrah, let him do so.”
