حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عُمَرٍو حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكَلَ عُضْوًا ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ

It was narrated from 'Ali bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas, from his father, that he saw the Prophet (PBUH) eat a leg (of meat), then he prayed and did not do wudoo”.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَيَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ قَالَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ بَنَى بِهَا بِمَاءٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ سَرِفُ فَلَمَّا قَضَى نُسُكَهُ أَعْرَسَ بِهَا بِذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) married Maimoonah bint al-Harith when he was in ihram. And in the hadeeth of Ya'la bin Hakeem (it says that) he consummated the marriage with her at an oasis called Sarif, When he had completed his Hajj, he consummated the marriage with her at that oasis.

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا وَعَنْ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا قَالَ وَكَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ جُرَشٍ أَنْ لَا يَخْلِطُوا الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade mixing fresh dates and dried dates, and mixing raisins and dried dates. And he wrote to the people of Jurash (saying): Do not mix raisins and dried dates.

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْبُسْرِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا وَعَنْ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ أَنْ يُخْلَطَا جَمِيعًا قَالَ وَكَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ جُرَشٍ أَنْ لَا يَخْلِطُوا الزَّبِيبَ وَالتَّمْرَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was dying and there were some men in the house including 'Umar bin al-Khattab (RA), he said: "Come, let me write for you a document after which you will not go astray." 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is overcome with pain, and we have the Qur'an, and the Book of Allah is sufficient for us. The people in the house disagreed, and they argued. Some of them said: Bring something and let him write for you a document after which you will not go astray. Others agreed with what 'Umar said. When their disagreement and argument became too much in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), he said: "Get up and leave." 'Ubaidullah said: Ibn 'Abbas used to say: What a calamity it was when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was prevented from writing that document for them because of their disagreement and argument.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَوَجَدَ يَهُودَ يَصُومُونَ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا فَقَالُوا هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَظِيمٌ يَوْمَ نَجَّى اللَّهُ مُوسَى وَأَغْرَقَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ فَصَامَهُ مُوسَى شُكْرًا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِنِّي أَوْلَى بِمُوسَى وَأَحَقُّ بِصِيَامِهِ فَصَامَهُ وَأَمَر بِصِيَامِهِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came to Madinah and found the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashoora'. He said: "What is this?" They said: This is a great day, the day on which Allah saved Moosa and drowned the people of Pharaoh, so Moosa fasted it in gratitude. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Verily i am closer to Moosa and have more right to fast it." So he fasted it and instructed (the Muslims) to fast it.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ كُلَّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ غَسْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَلَهُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that he did zvudoo' and washed each part once, then he said that the Prophet (PBUH) did that. (sic) It was narrated from 'Ikrimah, the freed slave of lbn 'Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah said: "There is no celibacy in Hajj

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَدَاوُدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا نَادَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ سُنَّةً تَبْتَغُونَ بِهَذَا النَّبِيذِ أَوْ هُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ الْعَسَلِ وَاللَّبَنِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ جَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَبَّاسًا فَقَالَ اسْقُونَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذَا النَّبِيذَ شَرَابٌ قَدْ مُغِثَ وَمُرِثَ أَفَلَا نَسْقِيكَ لَبَنًا وَعَسَلًا فَقَالَ اسْقُونِي مِمَّا تَسْقُونَ مِنْهُ النَّاسَ قَالَ فَأُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ بِعِسَاسٍ فِيهَا النَّبِيذُ فَلَمَّا شَرِبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَجِلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْوَى فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ أَحْسَنْتُمْ هَكَذَا فَاصْنَعُوا قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَرِضَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ أَعْجَبُ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ تَسِيلَ شِعَابُهَا عَلَيْنَا لَبَنًا وَعَسَلًا

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas (RA) that the Prophet used to say: "Their is no celibacy in Isalm." Husain bin 'Abdullah bin 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abbas and Dawood bin 'Ali narrated: A man called out to Ibn 'Abbas, when the people were around him: Are you following the Sutinah with regard to this nabeedh, or is it easier for you than milk and honey? Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Prophet (PBUH) came to 'Abbas and said: "Give us something to drink." He said: This nabeedh is something that has been steeped and soaked; shouldn't we give you milk or honey? He said: "Give us what you give to others." So a skin filled with nabeedh sas brought to the Prophet (PBUH), w'ho had his Companions of the Muhajireen and Ansar with him. When the Prophet (PBUH) drank, he stopped drinking before his thirst was quenched. He raised his head and said: "You have done well. This is what you should do." Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The approval of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was dearer to me than seeing these mountain passes flowing with milk and honey.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَرَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ أخْبَرَهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا وَوَجَدَ سَرَاوِيلَ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ وَوَجَدَ خُفَّيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا

Ibn 'Abbas narrated that he beard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say, as he was delivering a speech: "Whoever cannot find an izar (waist wrapper) but can find pants, let him wear them; whoever cannot find sandals but can find khujfain, let him w'ear them."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ أخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَكَحَ مَيْمُونَةَ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ

Abush-Sha'tha' narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) told him that the Prophet (PBUH) married Maimoonah w'hen he was in ihram.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ طَاوُسًا وَعِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يُخْبِرَانِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَتْ ضُبَاعَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ وَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ الْحَجَّ فَكَيْفَ تَأْمُرُنِي كَيْفَ أُهِلُّ قَالَ أَهِلِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي أَنَّ مَحِلِّي حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي قَالَ فَأَدْرَكَتْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that he said: Duba'ah bint az-Zubair bin ' Abdul-Muttalib came to the Messenger of Allah and said: I am a heavy woman (walking is difficult for me) and I want to do Hajj. How should I enter Hiram? He'said: "Enter ih mm and stipulate; 'My exiting ihrani will be where You prevent me (from continuing)". And she managed to do Hajj .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُحَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَائِرَاتِ الْقُبُورِ وَالْمُتَّخِذِينَ عَلَيْهَا الْمَسَاجِدَ وَالسُّرُجَ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أُرَهُ يَعْنِي الْيَهُودَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) cursed women who visit graves and those who buitd places of worship and set up lamps over them. Hajjaj said; Shu'bah said: I think he meant the Jews.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَيْفَ أُصَلِّي إِذَا كُنْتُ بِمَكَّةَ إِذَا لَمْ أُصَلِّ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَقَالَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ سُنَّةَ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

It was narrated that Moosa bin Salamah said: I asked Ibn 'Abbas (RA): How should I pray when I am in Makkah if I do not pray with the imam? He said: Two rak'ahs, the Sunnah of Abul-Qasim (RA).
