Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
عَبْدُ اللہِ بْنُ عُمَرَ: لا تَعْقِدْ شَیْئًا۔
ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «فَإِنِّي أَحْكُمُ عَلَيْكَ
ابن عمر اهون قتيل
فَأَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهَا قَوْلَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ،
وَمَا يَمْنَعُکَ
عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لاَ تَعْقِدْ.
فأدخل ابن عباس يده فيشعره وهو محرم فحك رأسها بها حكا شديدا
نعم، وما يمنعك؟
فأدخل بن عباس يده في شعره وهو محرم فحك رأسه بها حكا شديدا
فَأَدْخَلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَدَهُ فِى شَعَرِهِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ فَحَكَّ رَأْسَهُ بِهَا حَكًّا شَدِيدًا
لِي أَنَهَشَتْ إِلَيْكَ قُلْتُ: لَا،
بن عمر رضى الله تعالى عنه أهون قتيل
«فَإِنِّي أَحْكُمُ عَلَيْكَ
له: ((أطعم قبضةً من طعامٍ)).
