He learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ and from senior companions, and in turn became the teacher of hundreds of Tabi'un — the generation whose preservation of his narrations forms the backbone of the major Hadith collections.

Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
ثَمَنِ الْكَلْبِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ، وَحُلْوَانِ الْكَاهِنِ»
لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ»
الْكَيِّ، فَاكْتَوَيْنَا، فَمَا أَفْلَحْنَا، وَلَا أَنْجَحْنَا»

ثَمَنِ الْکَلْبِ وَثَمَنِ الدَّمِ وَنَهَی
النَّجْشِ

التَّلَقِّي وَأَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ
الْمُحَاقَلَةِ وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ
بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّی يَأْکُلَ أَوْ يُؤْکَلَ وَحَتَّی يُوزَنَ قُلْتُ وَمَا يُوزَنُ
بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ حَتَّی يَصْلُحَ وَنَهَی
عَسْبِ الْفَحْلِ
النُّهْبَی وَالْمُثْلَةِ
ثَمَنِ الْکَلْبِ وَحُلْوَانِ الْکَاهِنِ وَمَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ
لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ تَابَعَهُ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَکِ
الْجَرِّ الْأَخْضَرِ قُلْتُ أَنَشْرَبُ فِي الْأَبْيَضِ
الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ وَالْبُسْرِ وَالرُّطَبِ
أَکْلِ کُلِّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنْ السِّبَاعِ
الْخَذْفِ
الْمُلَامَسَةِ وَالْمُنَابَذَةِ
كَسْبِ الْإِمَاءِ
الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ.
الْجِرَارِ، وَالدُّبَّاءِ، وَالظُّرُوفِ الْمُزَفَّتَةِ»
صَوْمِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ»

متعة النساء يوم فتح مكة
الكي فاكتوينا فما فيها شفاء من سقم ولا براءة من إثم
بيع الثمر حتى يطيب ولا يباع منه إلا بالدينار والدرهم إلا العرايا
بيع النخل حتى يؤكل منه وحتى يوزن فقال الرجل وأي شيء يوزن
صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الفِطْرِ وَالنَّحْرِ»
