Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.
عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تعالى عَنْهُ
أَبِي أَيُّوبَ،

خَرَجَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَالنَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ قِطَعًا
اَبِیْ اَیُّوْبَ الْاَنْصَارِیِّ
عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُا
عُمَرَ، مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ مَعْمَرٍ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ
عُمَرَ فَأَرَادَ الشَّافِعِىُّ أَنَّ سُفْيَانَ وَهِمَ وَأَنَّ الصَّحِيحَ مَا رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ.
عُمَرُ مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ يَنْحَلُونَ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ نِحَلاً فَإِذَا مَاتَ أَحَدَهُمْ
شهدت عمر بن الخطاب على المنبر يعلم الناس التشهد
كَانَ يَعْمَلُ لِعُمَرَ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ عَلَى بَيْتِ الْمَالِ
عُمَرَ،
شَهِدْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ يُعَلِّمُ التَّشَهُّدَ
عُمَرَ بن الْخَطَّابِيَقُولُ: كَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ الْوَحْيُ،
كَانَ يَعْمَلُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ عَلَى بَيْتِ مَالِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ،
خرجت مع عمر بن الخطاب ليلة
كان عاملا لعمر بن الخطاب على بيت المال
عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ
