Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.

سَعْدٌ, وقَالَ ابْنُ مُسْهِرٍ: فَقَالَ:
ابْنُ جُرْمُوزٍ يَسْتَأْذِنُ
هَذَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ابْنُ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ
علي فأتاه
فُلَانُ الْحَبَشِيُّ.
أَبِي: ابْنِي وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ
أبو هريرة فدنوت منه
هذا ابن أبي قحافة المجنون، أحسبه
مَمْلُوكٌ لِي،
مثله ورواه سفيان الثوري
هذا ابن إسماعيل بن إبراهيم بن بردزبة.
أخوك، وأبوك، وزوجك، وابنك؛
أَمَةُ: غُلاَمٌ لِي،
عَلِيٍّ،
عَبْدِ اللہِ بْنِ قَیْسِ
