Abu Hurayrah learned directly from the Prophet ﷺ during his three years of close companionship, and supplemented his knowledge by studying with senior Sahaba in Madinah.

لِي مِسْعَرٌ: «يَا أَبَا أُسَامَةَ مَنْ رَضِيَ بِالْخَلِّ، وَالْبَقْلِ لَمْ يَسْتَعْبِدْهُ النَّاسُ»

بُرَيْدَةَ إِلَّا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ
وافقنا من شعبة طيب نفس فقلنا له
الشَّعْبِيِّ،قَالَ: «احْتَجَمَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ»

سفيان،قال: وددت أنها قطعت من ههنا ولم أرو الحديث2.

لفظ حديث يوسف بن موسى ورواه مسلم
وعليه عمامة سوداء مرقانية قد أرخى عليه طرفيها بين كتفيه
اشتكى سفيان بن سعيد فذهبت بمائة في قارورة فأريته الديراني فنظر إليه
دعا له بالبركة ودفعه إلي وكان أكبر ولد أبي موسى
