حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَصْدَقُ کَلِمَةٍ قَالَهَا الشَّاعِرُ کَلِمَةُ لَبِيدٍ أَلَا کُلُّ شَيْئٍ مَا خَلَا اللَّهَ بَاطِلُ وَکَادَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ أَبِي الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يُسْلِمَ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 3757
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah(ra) that the Messenger of Allah(saw) said: "The truest of words spoken by the poet are the words of Labid: "Everything except Allah is false.": And Umayyah bin Abu Salt nearly accepted Islam." (Sahih)
