حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِکِ مُحَمَّدٌ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْعَامِلِيُّ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَکْثَمَ بْنِ الْجَوْنِ الْخُزَاعِيِّ يَا أَکْثَمُ اغْزُ مَعَ غَيْرِ قَوْمِکَ يَحْسُنْ خُلُقُکَ وَتَکْرُمْ عَلَی رُفَقَائِکَ يَا أَکْثَمُ خَيْرُ الرُّفَقَائِ أَرْبَعَةٌ وَخَيْرُ السَّرَايَا أَرْبَعُ مِائَةٍ وَخَيْرُ الْجُيُوشِ أَرْبَعَةُ آلَافٍ وَلَنْ يُغْلَبَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا مِنْ قِلَّةٍ
ابن ماجہ · Hadith 2827
It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said to Aktham bin Al-Jawn Al-Khuza' i: "0 Aktham! Ight alongside people other than youurown, it will improve your attitude and make you generous : your companions. a Aktham, e best number of companions is four, the best number of troops on an expedition is four hundred, the best number of an army is four thousand, and twelve thousand will never be overpowered because of their small number." (Da'if)
