أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَکَلَّمُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلَائِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ الَّذِينَ أَصَابُوا فُلَانًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَعْنِي لَا تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَی نَفْسٍ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4852
It was narrated from Al Ash’ath bin Sulaim, from his father, that a man from among Banu Tha’labah bin Yarbu’ said: “I came to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم , when he was speaking, and a man said: Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, these are Banu Tha’labah bin Yarbu’ who killed so and so.’ The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘No,’ meaning no soul is affected by the sin of another.” (Sahih)
