أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَکَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَشْعَثِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ وَعَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ أَبِي کَثِيرٍ عَنْ عِکْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ مُکَاتَبًا قُتِلَ عَلَی عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُودَی مَا أَدَّی دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَالًا دِيَةَ الْمَمْلُوکِ
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4827
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that a Mukatab was killed at the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and he commanded that the Diyah be paid (equivalent) to the Diyah for a free man, (proportionate to the amount he had paid off towards buying his freedom). (Sahih)
