أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ کُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَإِذَا قَامَ قُمْنَا فَقَامَ يَوْمًا وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّی لَمَّا بَلَغَ وَسَطَ الْمَسْجِدِ أَدْرَکَهُ رَجُلٌ فَجَبَذَ بِرِدَائِهِ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَکَانَ رِدَاؤُهُ خَشِنًا فَحَمَّرَ رَقَبَتَهُ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ احْمِلْ لِي عَلَی بَعِيرَيَّ هَذَيْنِ فَإِنَّکَ لَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ مَالِکَ وَلَا مِنْ مَالِ أَبِيکَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ لَا أَحْمِلُ لَکَ حَتَّی تُقِيدَنِي مِمَّا جَبَذْتَ بِرَقَبَتِي فَقَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا أُقِيدُکَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِکَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ کُلُّ ذَلِکَ يَقُولُ لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا أُقِيدُکَ فَلَمَّا سَمِعْنَا قَوْلَ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ أَقْبَلْنَا إِلَيْهِ سِرَاعًا فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ عَزَمْتُ عَلَی مَنْ سَمِعَ کَلَامِي أَنْ لَا يَبْرَحَ مَقَامَهُ حَتَّی آذَنَ لَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ يَا فُلَانُ احْمِلْ لَهُ عَلَی بَعِيرٍ شَعِيرًا وَعَلَی بَعِيرٍ تَمْرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْصَرِفُوا
سنن نسائی · Hadith 4791
It was narrated that Abi Hurairah said: “We would sit with the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم :, in the Masjid and when he stood up, we would stand up too. One day he stood up and we stood up with him, and when he reached the middle of the Masjid, a man caught up with him and pulled roughly on his Rida’ (upper wrap) from behind. His Rida‘was of rough material, and that left a red mark on his neck. He said: ‘Muhammad! Load up these two camels of mine, for you are not giving me anything from your wealth or the wealth of your father!’ The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘No, and I pray for Allah’s forgiveness. I will not load anything (onto your camels) until you let me retaliate for your pulling roughly (on my cloak and leaving a mark on) my neck.’ The Bedouin said: ‘No, by Allah, will not let you retaliate.’ The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said that three times, and each time the man said: ‘No, by Allah, I will not let you retaliate.’ When we heard what the Bedouin said, we turned toward him quickly. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم turned to us and said: ‘urge anyone who hears me not to leave his place until I give him permission.’ Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘so and so, load one of his camels with barley and the other with dates.’ Then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Leave.” (Da’if)
