حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ كَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ بُرْدَ حِبَرَةٍ كَانَ مُسَجًّى عَلَيْهِ فَنَظَرَ إِلَى وَجْهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَبَّلَهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 3470
It was narrated that Abu Salamah said: Ibn 'Abbas (RA) used to narrate that Abu Bakr lifted from the face of the Prophet (PBUH) after he had died a striped cloak with which he was covered. He looked at the face of the Prophet (PBUH) then he leaned over him and kissed him.
