حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ عَلَى يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً حَزَرْتُ قَدْرَ قِيَامِهِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ قَدْرَ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 3459
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: l was in the house of Maimoonah and the Prophet (PBUH) got up to pray at night. I got up and stood on his left, and he took me by the hand and made me stand on his right. Then he prayed thirteen rak'ahs and I estimated the length of time he stood in each rak'ah as being as long as it takes to recite Ya ayyuhal-Muzzammil [Soorat al-Muzzammil 73:1].
