مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5825
It was narrated that Safwaan ibn Muhriz said: Whilst ibn 'Umar was circumambulating the Ka'bah, a man came to him and said: O Abu 'Abd ar-Rahmaan, what did you hear the prophet (PBUH) say about the najwa (private conversation)? He said: "The believer will draw close to his Lord on the Day of Resurrection, like a lamb, and He will place His concealment over him - or will conceal him Then He will say: Do you admit such and such? He will say: O Lord, I admit it. Then He will say: Do you admit such and such? He will say: O Lord, I admit it then He will say: I concealed them for you in the (former) world and I forgive you for them today. Then he will be given the record of his good deeds. As for the disbelievers and the hypocrites, they will be called before the witnesses, 'and the witnesses will say, “These are the ones who lied against their Lord!" No doubt! The curse of Allah is on the Zalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.)' [Hood 11:18]." Sa'eed said: Qataadah said: On that Day, no one will be disgraced and his disgrace hidden from anyone (i.e., he will be disgraced openly).
