حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَإِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ قِيمَتَهُ قُوِّمَ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ أَعْتَقَ مَا أَعْتَقَ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5821
Jareer ibn Haazim narrated: I heart! Naafi' (say): Ibn 'Umar told us that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever frees his share of a slave, if he has enough money to pay the full price of the slave, a fair price should be worked out for the slave, otherwise he has freed only what he has freed."
