حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الدَّعْوَةِ فَلْيُجِبْ أَوْ قَالَ فَلْيَأْتِهَا قَالَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يُجِيبُ صَائِمًا وَمُفْطِرًا

مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 5766

It was narrated from Ibn tirtar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: 'When one of you is invited, let accept" or he said, “let him go.” And rbn 'Umar would accept invitations whether he was fasting or not.
