حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْأَخْدَعَيْنِ وَبَيْنَ الْكَتِفَيْنِ حَجَمَهُ عَبْدٌ لِبَنِي بَيَاضَةَ وَكَانَ أَجْرُهُ مُدًّا وَنِصْفًا فَكَلَّمَ أَهْلَهُ حَتَّى وَضَعُوا عَنْهُ نِصْفَ مُدٍّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَعْطَاهُ أَجْرَهُ وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا مَا أَعْطَاهُ
مسند امام احمد بن حنبل · Hadith 3078
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: Saad bin 'Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about a vow that his mother had made, and he told him to fulfil it, (sic) It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was treated with cupping in the veins at the side of the neck and between his shoulders. He was treated with cupping by a slave of Banu Bayadah, whose fee was one and a half tmuids, then he spoke to his masters and they waived half a mudd from him. Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said: And he gave him his fee; if it were hararn he would not have given it to him.
